He has voted yes on all but one funding bill, voted against Kerry/Feingold and has done nothing to get his own bill passed. To me, if ending the war was as important as he made out in the beginning, he would be doing a lot more than he is.

I get either silence or "Well where's Edwards bill?" from Obama supporters. I do point out the fact that he voted first to stop blank check funding Bush, they don't like that either.

In 1998 the country was not in such dire straights.

Edwards "evolution" is in response to the growing and mounting issues and problems in this country.

That's why his ideas and rhetoric are much stronger and more fervrent. He was pro union in 1998, just not as much and probably didn't feel the need to rock the boat when it came to right to work law in his state. Now we have a lot less jobs, a horrid economy and have suffered years of middle class destruction.

At his core this is who Edwards has always been, he is now rising to the challenges faced in this country.

when the caucus goers narrow down their choices and as was shown in that poll 30% of the caucus goers second choice was Edwards that will knock the nice 10% lead Hillary has right out the window.

You keep forgetting that all those who like Richardson and the other dems have a second choice that they can vote for in the later rounds at the caucus, and among those folks, Edwards kicks ass.

Try checking out an article where someone looked at over 250 GE polls from the last 11 months and stated Edwards is the strongest GE against Giuliani consistently. Also since Giuliani is losing big time to Romney and Huckabee in Iowa Edwards is an even better bet because he does even better against those two according to RCP then Hillary. point or two point change for Edwards in one or two days it would be silly to post it. However it is a 6 point gain in 5 days which is a trend.

I remember all the poll posting when Hillary was kicking butt so this is no less valid than those.
