Wasn't Barack Obama an enthusiastic supporter of Joe Lieberman's campaign against Ned Lamott? Given Obama's actions the past two weeks, I am not surprised.
As a Clinton supporter, I must say that I am APPALLED at the idea of Hillary Clinton being a part of this ticket.
She has been ridiculed, insulted, taunted, and called every name in the book. To bail out Obama now after being called a racist and after the insults directed at the Clinton administration, is asking too much. What humiliation that would be.
No, Barack made his bed. He can lie in it. I think he should pick Bill Richardson. They go very well together.
Hillary needs to stay off this losing, anti-American ticket. It will taint her forever if she ties herself to a candidate that, in my opinion, is going to lose in a landslide. He has offended half the Democratic party. Even if some come back, many--like myself--will never vote for him. Combine that with a Republican nominee that is more palatable than most Republicans and appeals to Independents, and Obama will lose. Big Time.
Don't fall for it, Hillary. They betrayed you. Let them live with the consequences.
I will never support him. I will never vote for him. I am praying that Hillary Clinton does NOT make the huge mistake of taking a VP spot on a ticket that will go down as the biggest loser since McGovern.
Every time I think of Obama flipping off Hillary while supporters cheered, dusting the crap off his shoulders and his shoes...and then I think of the undemocratic caucuses, and stealing her Michigan delegates, Michelle Obama talking about whether Hillary's "tone" would be acceptable to her.
No thanks, I'll take McCain. I will vote REPUBLICAN for the first time in thirty-one years. It is obvious to me the kind of people that Michelle and Barack Obama are. And they belong nowhere near the White House.
I don't think you have any idea how squeezed the middle class is feeling right now. They are responding to the ad. Sticking your nose in the air, sniffing, and stating "that is life" is kind of a funny strategy to win over the working class. But hey, be my guest--go for it!
But isn't your candidate the guy who praises Reagan, who wants to revisit Social Security (gee, remember the left wing blogs and "There is No Problem"), who is against Universal Health Insurance?
But I think the voters feel that she hears them, and I do not think they believe Barack hears them.
She is saying to them that she understands how desperate they--the middle class-- are right now. And she is right, they (we) are pretty desperate financially.
That's why I think the ad is working for her. It's not so much the content as that it symbolizes that the middle class is not invisible to her. It's easier to grasp lowering gas prices than it is to grasp some vague idea of young some guy you don't know very well telling you "I'll change Washington and bring you hope."
I expect Obama to win North Carolina by double digits. It's a perfect state for him. He ought to do very well in Indiana, too, given the close geographic proximity to Illinois. I believe they share a media market.
The Republicans will not tie Rev. Wright to him, nor William Ayers and the family that he bombed, nor his wife's brilliant remarks about being proud of her country for the first time now. They will not try to portray Obama as unpatriotic compared to a Viet Nam war veteran who was tortured for five years in a concentration camp.
No, Obama will win over everyone and we will all ride off together on a big rainbow unity pony.
Mr. Singer, your denial is going to cost the Democrats this election. What were you doing in 1988 when Dukakis was destroyed by the Republicans---were you in pre-school or something? Watching The Flinstones perhaps? Well I was there. And it was pretty effing ugly.
Talk about naive. It's jaw-dropping the casual way that you simply close your eyes and hope for the best, so sure in your knowledge that THIS TIME it's going to be different: OBAMA will change everything and the whole world will have a Coke together and see the light.

Can't wait for the tape.
He loves the adoring crowds, but he refuses to debate and he refuses to do town hall meetings.
I am creeped out by his love of big rallies with adoring fans. Reminds me of the 1930s in Europe.
The SDs will base their decision on pledged delegates, popular vote, and electibility--not skin color or gender.
Excuse me, are you calling the people of Kentucky racists?
Wow, I guess you forgot to look ahead to West Virginia and Kentucky, where Clinton is way way way WAY UP!
That's okay. We understand.
"That is life."
That's the argument you'd try to win votes with?

Stop the disenfranchisement of Michigan and Florida and she will close the deal.
It's okay if he does it, but if she does it it's "Rovian slime." I see.

I guess we'll see on Tuesday.
I can't figure out why Obama has never one time denounced the sexism directed at Clinton.
Sure, Mr. Singer, Obama is totally electable.
