Well, aren't we just a bunch of know-it-alls here. So we, the FIRST generation to question our government, aren't good enough anymore, huh?
Perhaps you haven't talked to enough people who 'did the 60's' to get a true perspective of that time. It truly was the best of times, and the worst of times. We were exposed to a lot of fabulous music and a lot of body bags. We rode a President out on a rail. We watched John, Bobby and Martin get assassinated. We didn't lock our doors at night. Feminism laid the groundwork for better pay and less harrassment at work.
I could go on, but I won't. You have been protected and spoiled so you do not appreciate the battles that were fought to make this a better place for you.
    Thirty-one indeed.
Look at what the Republicans are doing to this country, look at the complete stupidity of this president, and in his second term!
You have forgotten the generation of FDR and WW2. My parents and grandparents made great sacrifices for me and I was taught to appreciate everything I have.
Are you proud of the books and movies today? Will radio stations be playing your music 30 and 40 years from now? I don't think so.
Look at the bands that are touring, all in their 50's and 60's and selling out stadiums.
Carry on without me, I'm done here.
    This is my last post.

I have read that owner of Diebold has assured Bush he will win Ohio.

My husband and I will be using absentee ballots;the only way to have a paper trail.

If bush does win, we are taking up an invitation by my aunt and uncle in British Columbia. We will sell everything and move there. We will have jobs and freedom from the doom that will befall my once-beautiful America.

  • But why this mess for Senator Kerry, the one who actually went to war. Doesn't this need to be turned to the person who has gaps in his record? He must be laughing his head off.

Yes, I think you are right on that one. Meet The Press is a good place to start. I'm serious here...how about The Daily Show?
