What Vick did was reprehensible, and disgusting, no doubt about it. He deserved to go to prison and lose a lot of his income. But I don't think what he did rises to the level of unforgiveable. He is imperfect, like anyone else.
I, for one, refuse to speculate on his mental state of remorse. I prefer to judge him by his actions. As long as he obeys the law and stays away from dog-fighting, I'm OK with him returning.
(1) is the Senate Parliamentarian's ruling binding. At least this document from the Senate's web site suggest that the Parliamentarian's ruling is advisory and the presiding officer does not have to accept it.
Tell them in a calm, firm, and condescending manner that if they act like a child, they will be treated like a child. The police will now escort you for your "time out". After ten minutes of cooling down, the police should make them swear that if they are let back in, they will behave. If not, they will get a longer "time out".
Of course, we just got done giving them a four year time out.
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired of republicsn.
It is very clear that when republicans don't have facts, they lie.
When their lies don't work, the cheat in elections.
When they can't win an election, even by cheating, they resort to violence.
WHAT ELSE IS NEW?
We are at war with people that are prepared to use violence against us? Instead of going off about how awful they are, I want to know what are we going to do about it?
"With every state reporting, all the electors had cast ballots in accordance with the popular votes in their states."
Not quite so - there was one elector in Nebraska that did not vote in accordance with the popular votes in their state, but did vote in accordance with the popular vote in their congressional district.
a couple of finishing touches. You forgot the famous "many (unnamed) democrats are worried that doing _____ will energize republicans" line, and reference to Mikey's repair shop as the "real America".
Such as:
Many Democrats are worried that Obama defending himself against McCain's attacks might backfire by energizing republicans.
The Obama campaign may think that a poll conducted in the waiting area of a repair shop may not be scientifically accurate, but many Americans would find that very condescending.
Those are some crazy internals. The lowest African American support any democratic nominee has received since 1976 was 83%. So, EVEN IF McCain quadruples his support among African Americans, he is still down 4%.

cause they're douche bags!
This a "gray area" thing.

I have been trying to figure out two things.
(1) is the Senate Parliamentarian's ruling binding. At least this document from the Senate's web site suggest that the Parliamentarian's ruling is advisory and the presiding officer does not have to accept it.

WARNING: not very lively reading!
(2) if the Parliamentarian's ruling is binding, can he be fired and replaced - I read that the Republicans did this to a parliamentarian.
I always love "time outs".

The truth is I barely left you
I had a mistress
In Argentina
I broke some promises
But they're no big ones...
Oh - and don't forget the farm subsidies!

Those are all great points.
I didn't think about Anchorage - that's probably it. It's hard to get a county breakdown of the votes.
I remember four years ago, that it looked like Knowles would beat Murkowski, only to lose. Yep, the polls do seem to overstate Democrats in AK.
Except there's one big difference - he has not been convicted. Ted Stevens was convicted.

oh come on! Can't ya tell us?! We're all adults here.
;)!
amazing - the most optimistic poll back then was Kerry +4. Now the most pessimistic poll shows Obama +4. We've come a long way.
are there really that few (76,000) Hispanic voters in Georgia? That's barely 1.5%.
