I'm looking forward to Biden's Vice Presidency.

It will be good to get back to a Vice President who is not in charge of running the government, especially the "secret" government. It will be good to have a Vice President who is not always located in an "Undisclosed Location." And it will certainy be good to have a Vice President who knows he is part of the Executive Branch and that's it.

To take the words directly from Joe Biden:

"The primary role of the vice president of the United States of America is to support the president of the United States of America, give that president his or her best judgment when sought, and as vice president, to preside over the Senate, only in a time when in fact there's a tie vote. The Constitution is explicit. The only authority the vice president has from the legislative standpoint is the vote, only when there is a tie vote. He has no authority relative to the Congress. The idea he's part of the Legislative Branch is a bizarre notion invented by Cheney to aggrandize the power of a unitary executive and look where it has gotten us. It has been very dangerous."
And, frankly, I'll be glad to see Cheney sink back to his undisclosed location and never come out again.

I like Joe

He's a guy I would like to have a beer with that I trust to run the government if necessary.  We would drink Leinenkugel's.

I would also like to have a beer with Barack, but we'd probably be drinking Strongbow English hard cider or Guiness.  He doesn't seem like a domestic beer kinda guy.

Drink local

I hope Barrack isn't drinking imported beer. He should be supporting US brewers. I'm not one to talk. I live in Ireland and I drink imported Danish lager.

But typically I always find that the best beer is local beer. Local to whereever you are.

Heinken doesn't taste better than it is in Holland. Pilsner Urquell is sublime in Prague -- but not so great in the US.

In that case...

I hope Barack would drink Surly Furious.  That's some great local Minnesotan beer.

C'mon, Minnesota voted big for Obama.  We deserve for him to drink our beer as his choice in refreshment!

Re: I'm looking forward to Biden's Vice Pres

Is Biden sure the Vice President doesn't manage the Senate?

Re: Biden's Vice Presidency.
People are so naive...especially all the young people that voted for Obama because of his quest for "change"... Joe Biden is a professional politician just like any other Dem. or Repub. that has been in the Senate for a long time.  They are responsible for the condition this country is in right now. It's Congress that has been failing the American public.  They still refuse to take the blame...typical politicians.  Watch them raise their salaries in 2009....and watch Obama continue to break all his campaign promises. Change does not mean putting the same old professional politicians back in office that ran the Clinton machine. What a fraud Obama is!!!
Less Federal government is better..more power to the states, don't spend money you don't have, and uphold the Constitution!!

Is that you, Ron Paul?

Man, I was kinda missing your brand of crazy, Ron.  I'm glad you made it over here to let us know you're alright.

For what it's worth, I supported your efforts to make the Republican party actually stand for its stated position on small, efficient government and sane foreign policy.  I would've much preferred complaining about your wing of the party than George Bush's.
