This isn't going to be very effective coming from the left wing blogosphere. The McCain campaign will have a much easier time dismissing this in the MSM now. There should have been a bigger push to get someone else to file this complaint.
I hate to break it to you, but the Black community started coalescing around Obama well before Iowa, well before any of the stuff about race was brought up by anyone. Back when the only talk of race was from Black intellectuals and politicians wondering whether Obama was 'Black enough'. The community decided he was close enough, and decided to back him.
Hillary Clinton's own pastor, Dean Snyder, has also come out in defense of Wright. Acquiescence? How about simply standing up and telling the truth?
The truth is that it's also Wright who they are trying to swiftboat, not just Obama. It's sad that rather than actually educate themselves on this issue, we have smart, in-touch liberals like Jerome buying into the lies and smears about Wright that the right wing is spreading instead of doing the most basic of research and fact checking on the issue.
No one who actually reads those sermons in their entirety and sees those snippets in context would believe for even one second that Rev. Wright was preaching hate or anti-Americanism.
Has anyone said these things in the MSM? Have there been ads? Debates? Anything other than posts on progressive blogs about the '100 years' thing?
McCain has received virtually no real coverage in months because of the protracted Dem primary and the total collapse of the rest of the republican campaigns early on. Things will change.
What's that bumper sticker? If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.
Sorry, but I'm somewhat cynical when it comes to politicians. Maybe it's realism. Whatever. All I know is that I can't think of a single candidate that ran this election that I don't know a questionable, horrible, disgusting, terrible thing about. Not a single one.
Blame the media maybe. Or the internet, that's always a good scapegoat.
And the right wing has tried to portray those pardons as being an effort to help his wife out in her first NY senate race. It caused quite a bit of outrage on both sides of the spectrum at the end of his administration, with everyone loving him, can you imagine how it'd go down now with the slightly different perspectives on terrorism?
Does the right wing's readying of this kind of stuff mean Hillary is unelectable? Should we write breathless diaries about her 'terrorism links'? No, of course not. It's right wing bullshit and concern trolling. Same as these same types of diaries about Obama.

Do you also see their explanation of why? And why it doesn't matter?
Second prize. ;)

That was rude, wasn't it?

What? Obama has been ahead since the start, and has only expanded his lead...
Excessive use of all caps is a sure way to give your diary a real touch of class.

I can. Luckily it didn't though.
Obama's big trio of speeches/policy proposals was last week. Didn't you get the memo? Probably not... I think only one of them got any coverage here.

You know they have stuff to unleash on both our candidates, right?
The jokes come from your efforts to tie these people to Obama, not what they did.
