Elections have consequences as we were all reminded every day of the prior President's 8 long long yrs. in office. It's time for the Repubs. to suck it up and as they used to love to say to everyone GET OVER IT!

Good solid speech. I think he wanted to start his Presidency off with his take on our collective reality and how we must go forward to make it better. Realism is a welcome habit after 8 yrs. of wishful thinking and Corp. rah rah. The BV$H Presidency was marked by this arrogant notion that whatever reality "they" decided on was reality then as I remember the rest of us would then watch as "they" changed history and we would then study it. Well, it didn't quite work out that way did it? Obama is saying the opposite as I see it. Here's reality and let's all deal with it. Good starting pt.

He's stepping up too the job NOW not Jan 20th. He sees that BV$H is finished and could care less at this pt. He realizes that the country cannot afford to drift on too the rocks in the next 58 days. Nevertheless, the culture of arrogance and malfeasance BV$H engendered in both Gov't and Private leadership will take yrs. too change. The simple truth is the country is being run by a bunch of clueless assholes from top too bottom. How one man can change this is going to be interesting too watch.

Buying Health Ins. is driving me into poverty. Why isn't some kind of basic health care a right? What is wrong with this country? Why are we so backward? Best country on earth? For whom?

I saw her interview. She had that same look in her eye as Palin. The Crazed wingnut stare! These assholes have run this country into the ground but it's never enough for them is it? You gotta laugh though @ how out of touch this crazy bitch is. I can just see the Congress holding a witch hunt for her. If it does she'll be one of the 1st witches they'll find.

The Osama Bin Laden factor hasn't been entered yet. We can be sure that the GOP's most fervent supporter will weigh in for McSame/Palin before Nov. 4th. How and when will be at his choosing. He doesn't want Obama in the WH that's for sure. His best hope and his movements is Mcsame and 8 more yrs. of War.

She's just farting too the base. This is her job too keep throwing red meat to the Rednecks and other mouth breathers  which comprise the GOP hardcore. She could care less about McSame now she knows he's toast. It's all about Sarah now and her 2012 run.

  • comment on a post The Signs Were There over 4 years ago

Clinton pulled it out barely. Lets not forget she held a commanding lead in every poll month after month. What has hurt Obama is the expectations game mostly created by the media Independent of what the voters actually want. Obama was riding a groundswell but he peaked and broke a bit too early is all. Hillary survived it but lets face it she's battered pretty badly. At this juncture her backers expected her to runaway from the field and thats not what is happening. Obama is still emboldened and has cash and Edwards has to make up his mind if he's really for Change or its just a bunch of empty lawyer talk? Its Edwards call now he can make or break either of them by dropping out after N.C.'s primary. My guess is where in for a long fight here. Just because Obama didn't win doesn't mean he can't. Bill Clinton didn't win N.H. in 1992 as I re-call but it didn't stop him either. This time its Bill and his wife who are the establishment and its they who are the minority in the party. The simple facts are if you add Obama's 37% to Edwards 17% u have the majority for change and not the Hillary variety.

  • comment on a post The Senate's Iraq Problem: Lieberman over 5 years ago

Let Lieberman bolt he's just a spy for the GOP now anyway. Let him go down with the Bu$h ship and while doing destroy his political future for good. He's less then worthless now he's an impediment. The only reason to keep him on board is in case a SCOTUS position opens. The D's are going to need those Committee chairs to block Bu$h's attempts of handing us over to a religious rt. SCOTUS for the next 30 yrs. But Joe will probably help his buddy Bu$h do that as well. So is it worth caving to this creature for the next 2 yrs.?

  • comment on a post Exxonmobil Is Tacky over 5 years ago

I know a recently retired ExxonMobil VP. Nice man personally, fabulously wealthy as u would expect. But a total Hard rt. wingnut politically. Loves "W", Billo and Faux news. Thinks, anyone to the left of McCain is a traitor and deserves to be put in a prison camp for the duration. LOL, I wonder if he could make one Big enough to put 60% of the pop? Sad, part is he's serious and so are his buddies.

  • comment on a post No Escalation over 5 years ago

The D's were put into power to stop the madness of King George and his flunkies and hidden controllers. All the other things on their agenda have to take a back seat to this over riding goal. Bu$h is either nuts or he's involved with some cult like the Dominionists. In any event ENOUGH already. Cut the $$$ off.

  • comment on a post The Only Reason for Escalation over 5 years ago

We should stop calling this a WAR. It's an occupation. We defeated Saddam's army that ended the formal Invasion and War. Since then we've been occupying the country and we've been fighting against some of it's inhabitants ( the insurgents .)

  • on a comment on U.S House Popular vote total over 5 years ago

Right. Their last ditch position was to save W's veto. The machines have to go they've created a situation where for us to win we have to always produce these super majorities and all they have to do is show up. The system has been tilted from day one to favor the conservative south rural mid west and west. This isn't a democracy by any reach of the imagination. We should ditch the Senate for a start. Why should Wyoming or S.Dakota have as many Senators as Calif. or NY? The machines and the GOP gerrymandering of the last 12 yrs. has given these thugs an incredible edge. Add to this all the media concentration they've allowed and it's almost 100% GOP ownership , plus all the rest of the Corp. power and it's a wildly out of kilter playing field! Nevertheless, they LOST! EVIL FUCKING BASTARDS !!
