He needs to hammer home McCain's healthcare proposal is to TAX employer-based benefits, that the vaunted "tax credit" doesn't cover the value of most policies.

He needs to point out its a historical FACT that dem administrations create jobs and reduce debt. The GOP has NEVER made job creation a priority. They increase public debt and protect vast private wealth. Every single surrogate should be shouting this from the roof-tops.

Not to even touch upon the perpetual wars he is itching to start.

What a freaking nightmare McCain has become. His Napoleon Complex is glaringly obvious.

I think there are shoes to drop with Palin still.

But, after decades of seeing how easily the American people are led by their noses to the poisoned troughs...

I hope they crash and burn spectacularly.

I am saying O is tanking and his 50 state strategy has made his message garbled and opaque. I'm saying he is losing even the economy voters now. His EV count is not nearly as solid as previously thought, according to some recent converts to realism.

If his staff had a lick of sense, he'd be rolling out the New Deal and hammering it home how the GOP, as a historical fact, create wealth for a few while the Dems create jobs for the many.

When and if he does that, the numbers could turn around. As avid O supporters, I suggest you press the candidate to heed this advice.

Minutia, again. As it is Obama has not locked up the EV rich blue states. His trajectory is nose-diving. You guys are so inside baseball you can't see the field.

Get your heads out of the freaking clouds and quit talking about NE or NM or any other red or purple states. Start worrying about MA and FL and PA and OH.

Obama continues to slide and you are salivating at the possibility of maybe, just maybe, O will win a solid red state with a few paltry EVs. So what if he loses PA and FL and the election, he will have kicked the GOP in the shins with a NE win! How incredibly vacuous.

  • This is not a compromise, it is capitulation (again) by the dems. Someone on another site referred to the "Vichy Congress". If the shoe fits...

Obama is now the dem party leader. He should have been out front on this (hey-why miss a chance to showcase his kewl new seal!), but instead we get more doublespeak. FISA, NAFTA, campaign finance, Iraq, women's rights, etc have all been equivocated and triangulated beyond mush. He's recently back tracked on taxes (CNBC).

I have no idea what this man has in mind and his campaign creeps me out more and more each day.

The number of dems turning in their badges over this will be interesting. The local meme is that the DNC has been in the tank for Obama from the get-go. In other words, screw HRC every way possible because the fix is in. Taking those 4 delegates from Hillary  proved how petty and imperious the O camp is. Independents are already bolting the Unity Pony Express- they don't like their votes traded like basball cards.

Another theory, that goes hand in hand with the other meme, is that the corporations who rule the two parties know HRC is the only candidate who would push for real UHC, unlike the McCain-lite Obama package. It becomes clearer why Hillary has been so demonized all these years by our callow media.

Once again, the media elects the candidate the Elite desire ala GWB.

    OMG
Are you really that naive? Amazing!

One thing for sure is that the much ballyhooed cognitive dissonance of Bush supporters has infected the O supporters.

How long have you been into politics?

Michelle must be getting nervous. O's running out of people to throw under that humongous bus.

for all the caucus horror stories to get covered in the GE.

  • It's not as if these women are the only group forming. Look at the way the NARAL state chapters distanced themselves from the BO endorsement. Their offices were flooded with calls from dissatisfied and even outraged women. Even NARAL admitted Clinton was better on women's issues than BO, and yet, they succumbed (again) to bribery. If you don't think that pissed off a passel of women. then you are living under a rock.

And while frat boyz and sorority sisters might find "Sweetie" and "Cutie" permissible ways to address or refer to female colleagues and professional women, self-respecting adult women do not. Period.

I believe concerning the white vote, Obama cannot break forty. We can' t win the GE with those numbers. Oh, that's right! Whites aren't a desirable demo, are they, now that Brazille has thrown half the party under the bus.

The fact that Obama voted for Cheney's energy plan gives him little cred on the subject, in many personal voting opinions, including my own. Talk about pandering to the right Big Time!

McCain is more passionate about the environment than Obama, AFAICT, and that isn't saying nearly enough.
