UPDATE: Okay, I've read up on Murtha's anti-lobbying reform vote in more detail and I think I'm wrong on this and Jonathan Singer is right. In June 2006, DemocraticLuntz posted a prescient essay about Murtha's voting record that also mentioned the anti-lobbying reform vote. Check it out. One thing I'll say about Murtha: On camera he has a great image as a straight shooter even if his record doesn't support it.
