Hillary Probably Concedes Tomorrow

It appears that Hillary Clinton is going to have to concede tomorrow.

The early polls out of Ohio show things too close to call.  If Ohio is too close to call, it really doesn't matter.  Hillary is done.

Obama leads Clinton by 160 pledged delegates.  The superdelegates on record support Hillary by about 50.  HOwever, as reported by Tom Brokaw, about 50 of the superdelegates are ready to endorse Obama this week.  This would even out the superdelegates.

At the end of the day, it appears Obama will be up around 160 pledged delegates, about the same it is going in today.

However, with Ohio and Texas about to be behind us, the scorecard goes into the 4th quarter.

And Obama will be up around 160 pledged delegates with victories expected in Wyoming and Mississippi.

So it will be mathematically impossible for HIllary to win.

It's over.  The better candidate won.  Yes Hillary would have been a better president than John McCain.  and BArack Obama will be a million times better president than John McCain.

Re: Hillary Probably Concedes Tomorrow

she won't concede until John McCain's schedule is free for the big endorsment. Its clear (and really not that hard to see why) she has a higher opinion of him than Obama.

Re: Relax, have a drink. Hillary is not going

I agree.  Even though she SHOULD concede, she probably will not.

In the end, she just can't get the delegates

No she won't...

...she won't drop out tomorrow no matter what, though I'm not sure if a small popular vote win (but a near tie in the overall delegates awarded) is enough to get her to Pennsylvania.

No she won't. And you cannot base anything on early exit polls.

Re: Hillary Probably Concedes Tomorrow

If Hillary wins by even the slightest margin, it will be trouble for him. Time has not been on his side as you have seen lately.

NO WAY

Come on man... there is no way she throws it in now.

Although if she only wins by less than five points, I think tht ANY HRC-supporter will tell you it is a disappointment for them/her.  BUT, she can't get out now...she needs to repay the 5 million she loaned to the campaign., and more imprtatnyl she owes her people (except for Penn) better than that.

Re: Hillary Probably Concedes Tomorrow

She's not John Kerry. Nor even Al Gore. Had she been in either of their positions she would have fought to the bitter end, leading demonstrations and mobilizing her supporters.

I feel fairly confident the diarist would not be willing to stake actual money on this proposition.

Re: Hillary Probably Concedes Tomorrow

It's clear Obama will have to concede tomorrow.  Deeply ensnared in a series of lies and misjudgments after engaging in a cynical and deceptive misadventure in Canada  (his first foreign policy engagement), and with the prospect of months of daily Rezko updates, he sees that the thread has been pulled from his holy sweater.   His only argument has been that his integrity, judgment and no-politics-as-usual trumped his lack of experience, and the Canada fiasco has blown down that house of cards in one huff.  His campaign depended on closing the deal before the voters took a second look, and that window just closed.

Re: Hillary Probably Concedes Tomorrow

Last time I checked this is still a democracy, not some mob-crazed, slogan-drenched thugocracy that bundles inconvenient opponents out of the way. Hillary must carry on. She should not give up on the hearsay or bullying whispering campaign led by her opponent. If the superdelegates want to make a choice known informally to Barack, that's one thing, but the MUST also do it legally and properly at the convention in the light of day, where everyone can see who these superdelegates are and hear their votes called and have them properly registered. There will be no backroom political abortion of Hillary Clinton's candidacy, try as Obama might to strangle her campaign mid-term.

Um, you must be feeling really, really stupid right about now.  LMAO!  Time for Obama to concede.

Way to go, Hillary!!!  Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island...  Well done!

Nah

I can actually do 2nd grade math.

And if you see the numbers, she's done.

Re: ON TO PA!

Great strategy.

There are two states in between.

The slim margin of delegates HRC gained on March 4 will be supplanted.
