Black bloggers need to stop Acting White regarding New Orleans.
What?!! Take your racism somewhere else.
And I suppose black bloggers who get a good education are also acting White...
Doug, yes I said it. It's not racist, it's just my gut feeling that "Black folks need to stop acting white regarding New Orleans." You see, New Orleans was a top issue for many whites for about two months, and then it faded, like homelessness, AIDS and other 'for the minute issues."
It has nothing to do with the education level of black folks or anything else that you attempted to imply.
As an African American I feel very comfortable saying how I feel. If you take it as a racist comment, when I concern myself with other black (African American) bloggers, Candidly - that is your issue - not mine. But that is just my opinion. And that is what MyDD Diary is all about.
I have to admit that I have been guilty; I have not posted once about the plight of New Orleans and I am ashamed. My next post on my site will be concerning New Orleans and the incompetence not only of this administration, but the governor, legislature, and mayor.
This is about more than one government entity dropping the ball, this is a grade one clusterf**k and we all as Americans should be outraged...
Truth is not only violated by falsehood; it may be equally outraged by silence. - Henri Frederic Amiel

unfortunately, New Orleans is a corrupt clusterfuck, and you'd have to be a complete idiot to invest anything there. Normally, after a catastrophic natural disaster, a locale bounces back fairly quickly. So why has New Orleans not?
Are whites at fault? If they are (which is bullshit anyways) what about black Wall Street, black media money? Where is THAT investment? The answer is that they aren't stupid enough to plunk down millions of dollars in the worst cesspit of crime and corruption in the United States.

AAPPundit: Ouch - This is an American city. How can we invest "Billions of American Money in Iraq and forget about hundreds of thousands of Americans?

AAPPundit: Local, State and Federal mismanagement, no bid contracts and red tape.

AAPPundit: Local, State and Federal government is at fault. Which includes all groups of Americans.
Black Wall Street has nothing to do with it. It's a government (we the people) issue.
The answer is that they aren't stupid enough to plunk down millions of dollars in the worst cesspit of crime and corruption in the United States.
AAPPundit: Again, How can we invest "Billions of American Money in Iraq and forget about hundreds of thousands of Americans? You would forget about an American city, with a large percentage of urban black poor? Would you say the same thing if the city were full of middle to upper income whites like San Diego, or San Francisco, or other majority white cities? Come on, lets get real here. There have been worst cesspit of crime and corruption that were destroyed in American history that America rebuilt like Chicago. Come on now lets be real, say what you really thinking. Don't soft peddle it.
Everyone hasn't forgotten about New Orleans. It is frustrating to know that results are not occuring fast enough there. An article entitled "What About The People of New Orleans?" was posted in early June. It is still available on politicaljones.com.
