As people line up to point out, opine upon, gloat or otherwise comment upon the President's lack of success, in Copenhagen today he secured an agreement that prior to his arrival seemed out of the question.
I know, it's way more fun to criticize, but sometimes you just have to stand back and admire the handiwork.

Senator Obama has said he would consider his first term a failure
if all troops were not withdrawn from Iraq, if health care was not affordable for all, and if the Economy was still in recession. Personally if he was to accomplish even the first two I would be satisfied. Creating an affordable health care system for all would be significant. Ending the Iraq war would save American lives and billions of dollars that could be used in other areas such as taking care of our wounded troops for the rest of their lives, Education, Foreign aid, and the list goes on. My question to you is what would satisfy you? What does President Obama have to accomplish to be rewarded with a second term? We disagree on many issues, even candidates, but we all have issues that mean something to us. I'm very curious to know what others believe to be their TOP issues. What would satisfy you and what would exceed your expectations? As you all know I love our candidate but once he is elected I will pressure him in any way I can. This is what a lot of people don't seem to understand, the people with the highest of hopes will demand the most of our president. No free rides from me, I demand results and I personally believe he will deliver. He needs our support and he needs to know what is important to us in order to lead effectively. I have never considered Senator Obama perfect or a God I consider him an intelligent man who sincerely wants to make America better.

I know some Edwards folks are still heartbroken and unable to commit (trust me, I understand--I felt the same way about Dean in 2004). But for those of you currently shopping around for a candidate, I thought I'd give a shot at putting the relative commitment of the candidates to Edwards' key issues into some perspective, as evidenced by their life stories and actions.

Late Tuesday night I went to bed relieved. It was the first election night since 2000 that I wasn't in despair. It was a nice feeling.
Wednesday I woke to find out that Claire McKaskill had won and it looked like the Senate was going to go our way. That felt kind of nice. But, as my husband and I discussed, neither of us could really believe this had all happened and both of us were waiting for the other shoe to drop.
By today I realized that my ability to feel positive or happy in the realm of politics is a skill that will have to be relearned.

This is a follow-up to a Kos diary I wrote yesterday. Yes, this here is my first diary at MyDD. No, I am not a troll. But in order to get my point across, I will go so far as to ask the people behind the strategy at Media Matters if they are.
Are you a troll, Media Matters?
What's wrong with me? Don't I appreciate what they are doing? Yes. I think monitoring and analyzing conservative misinformation is great and that they do a great job with that. It's the "correcting" part I don't like. More below...
