The ad hits Obama on Rezko, Emil Jones, Mayor Daley William Daley, and Blagojevich. I think McCain took the wrong meaning from that SNL sketch.
Is this really what they wanted to do? None of these will stick, because Obama was cleared of all guilty associations. Unlike John McCain, who continually surrounds himself with corruption while telling himself that he's above it all.
Well, if they decided that the "liar" meme was the direction they wanted to go in, they've got it. Just hope that Obama doesn't have a plan for it. Even though it already came up and he already swatted it down once before.
Update [2008-9-22 7:41:8 by vcalzone]: Jesus, as it turns out, I was wrong, it doesn't even mean Mayor Daley, it shows William and casually mentions that William is his brother. This is by far the sleaziest, most dishonest ad yet. What is their game on this one?

I just started reading a bit of a series of articles written by Evelyn Pringle on the whole story behind the Rezko corruption trial and Patrick Fitzgerald's criminal investigation of the corruption pyramid behind this trial. It seems that Rezko is only one of the indictees of his probe, many others have pleaded guilty and agreed to co-operate in his investigation in exchange for leniency.
It's a huge series of articles and I've only begun to read them but my question is: is this reporter Pringle a legit journalist or a hack for political operatives?

Senator Obama plan is the Obama two-step. The one step is to oppose NAFTA and the second step is not to oppose it - or so it would appear because he presented himself as a staunch opponent of NAFTA while his economic advisor told the Canadians, "not to worry" - his opposition to NAFTA were just words.
In Ohio in 2004 before an agricultural group he provided a much different story. As reported by (AP) Associated Press on September 8th, 2004, it said: "Obama said the United States should continue to work with the World Trade Organization and pursue deals such as the North American Free Trade Agreement." (AP - Sept 8, 2004)
And in The Decatur Herald and Review on September 9th, 2004, it is reported: "Obama said the United States benefits enormously from exports under the WTO and NAFTA."
So who is the REAL Barack Obama? What is he and what does he stand for? He stands for whatever is politically expedient at the moment.
