Listening to some here it is clear that they just don't get it or they are lemmings willing to take our Democratic party right off a cliff. It is obvious that McCain and the Republicans will attack Obama for the unpatriotic and racist comments his spiritual mentor of 20 years made. As well as the despicable things he said about Bill and Hillary Clinton inside a church of all places.

And frankly they should.

I find all of it very reprehensible and as an American citizen I am outraged that we are even considering this man for our highest office. The stuff Reverend Wright said about 9/11 alone is enough to disqualify Obama for the Presidency in my book.

The excuse that Obama has said he didn't agree with it and all that crap just doesn't cut it with me. If the situation were reversed and a white candidate for the same office attended a church for 20 years where they espoused KKK type viewpoints all hell would be breaking out throughout this country. The restless Nativists that make up the majority of the  GOP base are currently celebrating what they deem to be a great come from behind grass roots victory over big business and the political establishment. They better enjoy themselves while they can because they have no political future.

Yesterday the GOP signed it's own death warrant by rejecting the Immigration Bill. President Bush is a fucking war mongering Neo-Con idiot that should be impeached and also tried as a war criminal as well as stand trial for treason however he isn't a racist when it comes to Hispanics. The religious right make up the majority of the Nativists and as much as I despise the dreaded NEO-CONS they were wise enough to realize that if this bill was rejected that their party was done for. Don't get me wrong I'm glad that the GOP is a dead duck however it sickens me to see such wide open racism still infecting this nation. Knowing the history of the USA when it comes to Xenophobia I should have expected the outcome of the Immigration Bill. Hopefully with a Democrat in the White House we can get a better Immigration Bill passed anyway.

Ad linking Granholm to Hitler is Under Fire

Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Republican challenger Dick DeVos were in rare agreement Thursday -- the campaign they are waging against each other doesn't have anything to do with Adolf Hitler.

Granholm and DeVos were responding to a full-page ad appearing in this week's edition of the Detroit-based Michigan Chronicle newspaper that featured photographs of Hitler and Granholm and accused Democrats of taking African-American voters for granted.
