The medical research world is alive with excitement as the FDA has just approved new stem cell research on the repair of spinal cord injuries. These tests will start this summer at the Geron Corporation in Menlo Park, California, developers of a stem cell treatment for such injuries. This is the first set of tests to be held on humans for a human-based stem cell therapy.
It shouldn't be long before stem cell tests are available in research on diabetes cures, Parkinson's Disease, and other much needed medical treatments which had been held up by the Bush Administration's ban.

I was struck by Obama's medical records. as a practicing physician
for almost 30 years two things in his medical history seemed patently improbable. First, there are virtually no 47 year old men with blood pressures of 90/60. Most men with that kind of B.P. would be in the throes of acute blood loss! I would say that kind of B.P. would be more likely in an 8 year old. Second, Obama may be the only smoker in America with a resting heart rate of 60! He is in fact a walking advertisement for taking up smoking.
These medical findings are so surprising. They are in fact unbelievable. Maybe the blood pressure would make sense if against all odds we had a second Addisonian president in 50 years! I believe the good doctor made up these numbers. Maybe he's not used to lying. Maybe both his watch and his sphygnomanometer (B.P. device) were broken that day. No physician, nurse, EMT or frequent viewer of E.R. would believe those numbers.

For those living without medical insurance, it's been a long 13-year since Hillary Rodham Clinton campaigned for universal health care. During the remainder of her husband's tumultuous tenure in office, she never fashioned another plan nor has she done so as a U.S. Senator. But now the # 1 contender for President of the United States has a new universal health plan.

I started this thinking of an article for a military blog, since we are parents of a soldier in Iraq. But as it progressed it grew in to a bit more than I had planned.
From the news media, we learned that there were casualties in our son's unit. Unless you are a parent or spouse or child of a soldier at war, you can not know what it is to hear those chilling words from an electronic box.
Calls to local recruiter, or any military personnel brings the same answer "You'll know as soon as we do. We'll call you as soon as we know. Hold strong, we're doing everything we can." I have heard it said that when there is casualties in a unit that there is a two week blackout for the unit, no calls in or out. Guess it gives the military time to re-screw their heads, so that they don't say the wrong thing to the suckers back home.
Every vehicle that passes along the road before our house, causes a scramble to the windows to see if it might be a government vehicle bringing the dreaded news.

Well, it's related. Fair and balanced huh?
The Satanic 109th Congress has done it again. H.R. 5533 has passed in the house by voice vote. There are several related bills such as S 1873, and not the missle defense one. This is simply the end of western medicine as we know it. BARDA, the Biodefense Advanced Research and Development Agency will enforce all thing drug, with zero oversight and in total secrecy.
Therefore I have ceased getting flu shots and have sworn off all medications unless it's simply a last resort. Drugs? Just say no! This is far more destructive than Patriot Act, Real ID, No child left unrecruited and the entire Iraq episodes combined!
