CO-3 John Salazar will vote for public option!

http://www.house.gov/apps/list/press/co0 3_salazar/PR_091009.html

As a constituent of Salazar's I'm familiar with his somewhat blue dog ways which is why I found this press release to be somewhat of a pleasant surprise.  He has actually gone on record as supporting the public option (if it came to a vote anyway).

I thought he was probably going to support any health care bill, but here he has finally stated that he would vote for a public option.

I just wrote him to ask him to join the progressives in signing that letter to Sebilius ;)

Earth to Elizabeth: It is not 1964 Selma!

It has come to my attention that one Elizabeth Edwards is becoming the 2007 equivalent of 1980 Ronald Reagan.  Playing to the stereotypes of hate and sexism is no way to get your Husband elected.  I expect incoming from the Edwards supporters for this post but I have to write it.  First off, does the woman shut up long enough for John to get media attention of his own?  No!  Maybe she should run, given her mastery of the media.

We already have a strong woman candidate:  Hillary.  And unlike you, Mrs. Edwards, she does not resort to racist, sexist, dog whistle style politics to prop up a deteriorating candidacy.  No, rather a modern woman, she has this crazy idea that this is 2007 and someone other than a white southern protestant male can win this thing.  And some of us just happen to love that about her.

Death, Destruction and Animal Rights: Democratic Party's gift to Louisville

Dems continue to wander and dabble their way towards automatic support of animal rights issues, leaving their dog and pet-owning constituents to fend for themselves as best they can.

Residents of Louisville, Kentucky are getting ready to assume the position.

The countdown for implementation of Louisville's gargantuan anti-pet, anti-pet owner animal control ordinance continues.

In the meantime, Wayne Pacelle, President and CEO of the largest, richest animal rights organization in the country--the organization that basically wrote the Louisville ordinance--says he's looking forward to a banner year.

Dems hate dogs, love profiling

Louisville, KY, Dems:  Profiling us because of our dogs

Negative stereotyping of dog owners: business as usual for Democrats in Louisville.

Just what the hell is the Democratic Party thinking? Is the dog owner equivalent of "driving while black" now official Democratic Party policy?

While Republican members of the Metro Louisville City Council stand up for the civil rights of law-abiding and caring dog owners, Dems seem too busy snuggling up to the Humane Society of the United States' bank account to notice that they are pissing off their own core constituency.

Forget sticking up for the little guy! Cuddle up to special interests instead?

Dems are whizzing in their own cornflakes!
