Obama Will Change the Old Guard!

Michelle Obama has often stated and pointed out that America's Soul is Broken." And, that is evidenced in the high increase of crime, rape, killings.  Our incivility to one another and rudeness.  Our children lack respect to adults and act out.  There is increased sex on television shows and in our music, along with violence.  At the same time, America is trying to grow up out of this adolescent stage and reclaim her Soul!

McCain and the GOP still want to play got-cha politics, which most Americans are weary and growing tired of.  The GOP lead us in a Pretend and Fake war, the Iraq invasion.  The Real war was and is in Afghanistan where Bin Ladin is hiding today.  That is not change you can believe in.  Most Americans want Truth and Authenticity.  We don't want to be led into a fake war for oil!  We don't want our young men and women dying for oil and a fake war that should have never been authorized.  John McCain likes to say he is good on national security, yet he voted Yes to authorize the fake war the Iraq War.  What we need desperately today is more honesty by our politicians in this nation instead of the politics of Got-cha, Lies and the tearing down of one's opponent through dishonesty.  The debate should be about the real issues, not pretend wars or personal attacks and or empty and false slogans because it does nothing for the day to day lives of American people.

The Republican operatives have belittled and berated Barack Obama as just speeches, however, Barack has over 20 years of experience in public service, plus a Natural Talent to organize and get things done, as evidenced by the successful running of his Campaign.  Barack Obama has an innate judgment as evidenced by his speaking out against the Iraq war when it was not popular because he had the intelligence and common sense to know that the real was was in Afghanistan not Iraq.  Bin Ladin did and does not live in Iraq.  Barack Obama has the ability to inspire people to unite in a common cause to bring about the Necessary Changes we need today.  Because if we do not unite for change, for true democracy, together we will all go down with the ship and be united anyway but in a negative way and not a positive way.

We definitely need a change in the way our politicians campaign which as to date, tears down one's opponent through lies and dishonesty which only tears the country down and puts a bad taste in our mouths, though each candidate has the right to  point out true policy differences.   We should demand honesty and integrity from our politicians and stop letting them lead us down a yellow brick road of illusion, misstatements, lies and dirty political maneuvering!

Barack Obama is no ordinary man.  He is not the Messiah, but he is an Old Soul or Disciple.  He was born to lead and born to take humanity to a higher stage of unity and prosperity.  His message has been throughout that all children are Everybody's Children, and that we must change the "mindset" for going into wars.  He tells us that in order for us to make it as a society and solve our problems, that we must stop being divisive: gays against straight, Muslims, Jews, Palestinians, Christians must unite and respect one another's religions.  That will be his greatest gift to humanity at this time -- the ability to see each other as ourselves -- or together we can go down with the ship.  Everyday he risks his life.  He is not running because he has a thirst for power.  He offers up his life for his love of humanity and to its next stage of evolution.  We should embrace this gift and offer up our prayers that he can finish his mission, his high calling.   We must stopped being fooled by politicians who only has the best interest of their pocketbooks and big corporations and not the pocket books of everyday average citizens.   It should not take 10 years for the minimum wage to be increased, there is no justification for that.  That should tell you there that politicians who vote no for an increase care nothing about your day to day struggles.  And you have to ask yourself "What has the GOP done for me lately"?  The years when the American Dream was thriving, they were years when there was Democratic Presidents and Congress.  That is the true party of the people.  If we are to get back to the American dream again we must put in office that party who has always been inclusive and the people's champion.  That party is the Democratic Party.

And lastly we must not listen to those who refuse to understand the changing of the old order, and the awakening of humanity to the new possibilities.  We need a complete purification of the political and economical arenas which would be of the greatest value in bringing back Americas greatness and strength.

Republicans Never Play Fair!

Republicans never play Fair and you can expect nothing from them except lies, deceipt and deception!  The proof is in John McCain's current ads which border on religious fantasies and childish cartoons (not to be Believable) and are not indicative of the Real World and possibly Schizophrenic! They act as if they are communicating with Children instead of Adults!  And that's an insult to many over the age of 18  who want real facts and solutions not cartoonish schizophrenic communication delivered to them as if they are mindless pups!  Does the McCain Camp really think the American people are childish and gullible!  That is so disrespectful to the advancement of the American people today in the great strides they have made in education and mind building which shows he is definitely out of touch as to where the American people are today --  The American people are growing up.

It is a sad landmark of where the McCain Camp is that a man (McCain) who espouses to be the most powerful leader in the planet seeks to convince us of his fitness for office with images of Paris Hilton and Moses being used (by inference) to demean his opponent!

CNN has begun to air Barack and McCain in their own words at various campaign speeches and town hall meetings, which is really educational and informing.  Unfortunately, MSNBC only seems to like to keep the controversy going or show dueling campaign ads -- bones as compared to meat.  We are tired of being used and treated like children.  I turn off MSNBC and watch CNN who treats us like the adults that we are!

As for Joe Scarborough and his morning show, it is becoming very biased again and unprofessional now that he is back from his hiatus with many comments that border on deceit, lies, racism and distortion.  Barack Obama can do no right, he cannot even exercise for an hour and a half because Most Americans do not do that.  Get a grip Joe, Americans are exercising and taking a lot better care of theirselves than you think!  We, the American people deserve a lot better than the biased dribble coming out of Joe Scarborough's slyly, deceitful mouth who cares nothing for the American people.  For him, it is all about Republican goals and agenda, which have not done anything for the growth of the American way.  Joe, can you for once put the American people's concerns before your own selfish agendas for the Republican brand?

Meet the Republican Dirty Trickster.....

Meet Mr. Roger Stone. We all know about the Lee Atwater/Karl Rove school of Republican dark politics. Meet the dirty trickster behind the architects of Republican dark art of politics. This Jeffrey Toobin's New Yorker article is so surreal.

http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/ 06/02/080602fa_fact_toobin?currentPage=a ll

Roger Stone is like Luca Brasi standing in the dark behind Don Corleone (Atwater). His latest victim was NY Governor Spitzer. He left phone messages threatening Eliot Spitzer's Dad Bernard Spitzer.

It was, in short, Stone's idea of entertainment. "I thought Spitzer was punk, and I wanted to fuck with him any way I could," he said. (Rule: "Hate is a stronger motivator than love.") By the middle of 2007, his Spitzer bashing had become a business, because Stone was hired in June as a consultant to the New York State Senate Republicans.
On August 6th, someone whose voice sounded a great deal like Stone's left a message on the office answering machine of Bernard Spitzer, the governor's eighty-three-year-old father. The caller referred to a possible investigation of loans made by the elder Spitzer to his son's campaigns. "If you resist this subpoena, you will be arrested and brought to Albany," said the caller, who went on, "And there is not a goddam thing your phony, psycho, piece-of-shit son can do about it." Private detectives hired by Bernard Spitzer traced the call to Stone's wife's telephone, but Stone, however implausibly, denied leaving the message. At first, he claimed that on the night of the call he had been attending the Broadway show "Frost/Nixon," but there was no performance that evening. Stone also suggested that his landlord, a Spitzer supporter, had set him up, or that a standup comedian and impressionist had imitated his voice. As a result of the controversy, Stone had to relinquish his position with the State Senate Republicans. "They caught Roger red-handed lying," Donald Trump said. "What he did was ridiculous and stupid. I lost respect for Eliot Spitzer when he didn't sue Roger Stone for doing that to his father, who is a wonderful man."

He claims responsibility of Spitzer ouster by referring Spitzer's dalliance with callgirls to FBI.

The brouhaha over the phone call did little to faze Stone. Some weeks later, he was approached by a pair of F.B.I. agents who may have been in the early stages of an investigation of Spitzer. (Stone says that he doesn't know why the F.B.I. sought him out.) Stone declined to speak with them, but on November 19, 2007, Stone's attorney wrote to the agents and recounted the story that the woman had told him at Miami Velvet, including the part about the socks. ("Perhaps you can use this detail to corroborate Mr. Stone's information," the letter states.) Four months later, Spitzer resigned, after it was revealed that he was a client of the Emperors Club V.I.P., a prostitution ring. In Stone's mind, this turn of events suggests that he may have played a key role in forcing Spitzer out of office. (He takes satisfaction in noting that a recent New York Post report about another prostitute allegedly patronized by Spitzer corroborated the claim that he preferred to wear his socks during sex.)

Roger Stone comes from the Nixonian school of politics ala Dick Cheney, Pat Buchanan, Don Rumsfeld, Gordon Liddy et al. Interestingly he claims to hate Rove although he worked very closely for Bush's selection in 2000...

For nearly forty years, Stone has hovered around Republican and national politics, both near the center and at the periphery. At times, mostly during the Reagan years, he was a political consultant and lobbyist who, in conventional terms, was highly successful, working for such politicians as Bob Dole and Tom Kean. Even then, though, Stone regularly crossed the line between respectability and ignominy, and he has become better known for leading a colorful personal life than for landing big-time clients. Still, it is no coincidence that Stone materialized in the midst of the Spitzer scandal--and that he had memorable cameos in the last two Presidential elections. While the Republican Party usually claims Ronald Reagan as its inspiration, Stone represents the less discussed but still vigorous legacy of Richard Nixon, whose politics reflected a curious admixture of anti-Communism, social moderation, and tactical thuggery. Stone believes that Nixonian hardball, more than sunny Reaganism, is John McCain's only hope for the Presidency.

Over the years, Stone's relationships with colleagues and clients have been so combustible that his value as a messenger has been compromised. Stone worked for Donald Trump as an occasional lobbyist and as an adviser when Trump considered running for President in 2000. "Roger is a stone-cold loser," Trump told me. "He always tries taking credit for things he never did." Like Nixon, Stone is also a great hater--of, among others, the Clintons, Karl Rove, and Spitzer. So what happened at Miami Velvet one night last September, he said, amounted to a gift.

His involvement in 2000 Bush selection process included gathering thugs to protest to prevent the start of the recount process...

After our lunch, Stone summoned his chauffeur-driven Jaguar--he owned four Jaguars at the time--to take us downtown, so that he could walk me through the events that concluded the Miami recount. On November 21, 2000, the Florida Supreme Court gave Gore an important victory by ruling that the deadline for recounts would be extended to November 26th. At that point, the top priority for the Gore forces was to get the recounts up and running, especially in Miami-Dade County, which is the most populous in the state. On the Republican side, according to Stone, "The whole idea behind what they were doing was that there had already been one recount of the votes, so we didn't want another. The idea was to shut it down, stop the recount here in Miami." By November 22nd, the recount process had begun, in a conference room on the eighteenth floor of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, a vast concrete office building on a forlorn plaza in downtown Miami.

The scene in front of the Clark center that morning was volatile--which was, of course, exactly how Stone wanted it. Several thousand mostly pro-Bush protesters had gathered on the sun-baked plaza to insist that the recount be shut down. Early that morning, Perez-Roura, of Radio Mambi, had sent Evilio Cepero, a local activist who sometimes worked for him as a reporter, to broadcast from the scene. Cepero urged Perez-Roura's listeners to join the protest, addressed the growing crowd with a megaphone, and interviewed supporters, like the local members of Congress Lincoln Diaz-Balart and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. Many held signs that said "SORE/LOSERMAN." Others chanted, "Remember Elián!"

"We set up a Winnebago trailer, right over here," Stone said when we got out of the Jaguar and walked about a block away from the Clark center, on First Street. "I set up my command center there. I had walkie-talkies and cell phones, and I was in touch with our people in the building. Our whole idea was to shut the recount down. That was why we were there. We had the frequency to the Democrats' walkie-talkies and were listening to their communications, but they were so disorganized that we didn't learn much that was useful."

A substantial contingent of young Republican Capitol Hill aides, along with such congressmen as John Sweeney, of New York, who had travelled to Miami, joined in the protest. Thanks to this delegation, the events at the Clark center have come to be known as the "Brooks Brothers riot," but Stone disputes that characterization. "There was a Brooks Brothers contingent, but the crowd in front of the courthouse was largely Spanish," he said. "Most of the people there were people that we drew to the scene."

At one point on November 22nd, Stone said, he heard from an ally in the building that Gore supporters were trying to remove some ballots from the counting room. "One of my pimply-faced contacts said, `Two commissioners have taken two or three hundred ballots to the elevator,' " Stone said. "I said, `O.K., follow them. Half you guys go on the elevator and half go in the stairs.' Everyone got sucked up in this. They were trying to keep the doors from being closed. Meanwhile, they were trying to take the rest of the ballots into a back room with no windows. I told our guys to stop them--don't let them close the door! They are trying to keep the door from being closed. There was a lot of screaming and yelling." (In fact, the Gore official in the elevator, Joe Geller, was carrying a single sample ballot.) The dual scenes of chaos--both inside and outside the building--prompted the recount officials to stop their work. The recount in Miami was never re-started, depriving Gore of his best chance to catch up in the over-all state tally.

As is customary with Stone, there is some controversy about his precise role. "I was the guy in charge of the trailer, and I coördinated the Brooks Brothers riot," Brad Blakeman, a lobbyist and political consultant who worked for Bush in Miami, told me. "Roger did not have a role that I know of. His wife may have been on the radio, but I never saw or heard from him." Scoffing at Blakeman's account, Stone asserts that he was in the trailer; he said that he had never heard of Blakeman. (Rule: "Lay low, play dumb, keep moving.")

Would You Rather Hear A Lying Politican or One That Speaks Truth!

In an Answer to a Question about small-town America Barack answered in earnest and with thoughtfullness:  "You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone...And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." What Barack meant in Essence -- which is the Clear-Cold Truth, unlike Hillary's Bosnia Fabrication and Continuing Performances, Small-town America, due to a loss of jobs producing frustration and bitterness and with time on their hands, similarly to the Negros in Slavery time, who turned to Religion & Music for an outlet, small-town Americans turn to Religion, Hunting and yes, some blame the current conditions on  Immigrants when they should be turning their blame on Politicians who allow employers to higher immigrants for a much lower wage than Americans would go for.  He never said religion or hunting (music) were bad, because people tun to them for an outlet when they have lost hope in their government and with extra time on their hands in a way to channel their frustration and bitterness.  The Wording could have been better, however I am sure this was due to Barack being tired and on the campaign trail for over 15 months. What he could have said instead, which are synonyms for bitter are that People are Resentful, experiencing Pain, and Prolonged Discomfort, due to harsh and painful economic conditions. However, the fact that McCain, Clinton and others are trying to take a poor choice of words and to make nothing into something-- blowing it out of proportion -- and playing politics as usual, is despicable in an atttempt to get you to see things not as they are but as distortion.  People in small-town America have experienced a loss of jobs in a greater degree and opportunity than Cities and suburban America, with very little to look forward to and time on their hands other than to go to church, hunt, and visit their local taverns, and for the young, many join the Military, and so many small town Americans have become bitter and disillusioned.  Obama never stated that it was wrong that they turned to Religion and Guns due to time on their hands and a loss of hope, culture, plays, theaters, etc., they for an outlet turned to religion and guns.

In a larger picture, people in general all over America, are bitter over high gas prices, increased food prices, loss of jobs and hope, high education costs, increased mortgage costs and foreclosure, loss of jobs that leave the country and move to India and/or China, and as hard as it is to say, some people are bitter over immigration and the loss of jobs due to companies hiring immigrants for a much lower wage than Americans would go for -- in an America that does not resemble the one we used to know and believe in. We have even lost the respect and admiration of other countries around the world due to the demise of the America we love and believe in. As Barack points out, we should not blame the Immigrants but the policies that have caused this chaos.

America, we have to ask ourselves, which is more eggrecious, a politician telling us the hard truth, the things we may not want to hear but need to hear OR a politician telling us a Fantasy/Lie, like the Bosnia Sniper Fire fabrication and PERFORMANCE, things we did not need to hear because not Truth, and which is a betrayal of the public trust and a deeply flawed Character Issue.  There was a time that politicians was the most Honest Game in town -- George Washington, Honest Abe, Thomas Jefferson these are just a few examples, but they were men of high ethics and moral character who would not dare to tell the public a bold face ... for their own personal gain, it just was not done. And to say that Obama is an elitist, is like coloring Sen. Kerry a deserter, which they tried and was somewhat successful at, and look where it got us, into a war that should never have been waged and a host of other woes that only True Change from the bottom-up can Transform. I hope the people will see through Clinton and McCain's politicking, Distorting and twisting his words and Message for their own political gain and rally to Obama's aide who in all honesty is trying to Change Washington from a Power Broker to Power People, because in the end it will be the people's voice and votes that matter.  Barack Obama in his attempt to speak the clear-cold truth to America has produced a crisis effect, can we handle the truth, seeing things as they are -- the good and the bad, because that is the only way we can change things for the better in America to look at the hard facts and stop trying to sweep them under the rug or have politicians tell us that things are Great, when they are terribly wrong.  They are not right and people are bitter, but we have a chance for Hope now; We have a Chance to Change, that hope -- that change is in the body of Barack Obama!  Let no one fool you because if you do, you are saying you rather hear a lying politican than one who speaks Truth!

Character & Ethics Count in Picking New President

In picking the next President, we should be looking for one who has shown character, ethics, and morality.  Who ran a positive campaign and did not chose to attack, lie and distort the opponent's record?  Who can we believe to be truthful?  Who can we trust to do the people's business?  I believe that person is Barack Obama who refused to get down in the gutter when things got tough. However, Hillary and her camp used a Kitchen Sink/Tonya Harding strategy which should be beneath the way we do politics as we try to build a more holistic society.

Here is further insight into Hillary's character. "As Hillary Clinton came under increasing scrutiny for her story about facing sniper fire in Bosnia, one question that arose was whether she has engaged in a pattern of lying. The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillarys history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther and goes much deeper than anyone realizes. Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedys chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifmans 17-year career. Why? Because she was a liar, Zeifman said in an interview last week. She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality." URL: :/stoptheaclu.com/archives/2008/04/01/h illary-was-fired-from-congressional-job- for-unethical-behavior/trackback

Then we have Mark Penn's free-trade negotations with the Columbians which calls into questions from some unions like Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa who said the account calls into question Clinton's own credibility on the trade pact. "How can we trust that a President Hillary Clinton would stand strong against this trade deal when her top adviser is being paid by Colombia to promote it?" Hoffa said. "To support this so-called `free trade agreement' is anathema to the labor movement and to anyone who supports working people, social justice or the environment." AND Then WE Have: Greg Tarpinian, executive director of Change to Win, which has endorsed Obama and represents a coalition of unions actively working against the trade pact, called on Penn to resign his campaign post. "It's time for Senator Hillary Clinton to send her vaunted `chief strategist' Mark Penn packing -- back to his job consulting for union busting corporations and anti-labor governments for good," Tarpinian said in a statement.

Every day Hillary supporters are speaking out in ways which continue to inflame race and gender, divide and conquer -- that is no way to run or win a race! If she was really concerned about African Americans and Womens' Issues then she and her surrogates would not be stating daily staements which further fuel the gender and racial divisions in this country in a misguided strategy of divide & conquer. Hillary and her camp have been shown to untruthful and unethical. When they get caught in their lies, they laugh it off and say they misspoke, misspeaked, and misstated. They are not honorable people and she does not show the kind of character and emotional maturity that one should have to run the highest office in the land.
