It's running on television in Iowa during the holiday season (you can help keep it running by contributing here).
We decided to run this ad because we're concerned that Obama isn't the "progressive, courageous, and winning" Democrat we're looking for. Although candidates like John Edwards have offered sharp contrasts with Obama's accomodationist style, no one has really tackled Obama's accomodationist record, which provides the convincing evidence that could really persuade voters.

Let me get this straight!
For over nine months, Hillary has taken incoming from her seven Democratic opponents, as well as the entire GOP field. Despite this, Hillary has managed to garner more support than her seven primary opponents combined!
Now the panicking boys are calling for reinforcements!
The call to arms is being answered in the form of a 20-member PAC called "Democratic Courage" who shares the same goal of keeping Hillary from winning the nomination.
Does it really take 27 guys to out-tough Hillary?
And if it does, is it any wonder that she has more support than her seven male opponents combined?
I like the idea of progressive minded individuals who want to build stable Democratic majorities and want to stop the presidential Auction and inevitability campaign we are undergoing.
In a recent poll only 28% of the public for instance could name John Edwards as a presidential candidate compared to 90% for Hillary. Clearly the corporate hack pack media is anything but "fair and balanced".
A federal PAC (NOT a 527 which has no maximum contribution limit) could be one way to even the playing field. However, here are my suggestions.
1. Add all the other Democratic candidates' links to your BlogRoll immediately.
2. Add Hillary is 44 somewhere highlighting it as non-candidate affiliated spending trashing other candidates on behalf of Hillary. (this might balance out the stories the MSM will run)
3. Put different variations of potential radio or TV ads on the site and let individuals pick which one they donate to. (the connection between paying for a particular ad that the reader finds effective would motivate me a lot more than generic giving.
4. Make it the anti - Hillary is 44 clearing site with stories the MSM corporate hack pack misses or underplays.
5. Don't be afraid to solicit feedback or feedforward advice on your site for ideas or ads.
6. Realize that whatever ads you make need to be unconventional, 100% accurate, and likely to garner free media exposure. Further, don't go too far into the woods.
The first ad I would do would be about Hillary's "if I knew than what I know now" statement with the recent Kyl/Lieberman bill that does not include the word "diplomacy" in the text of the bill. (only in the findings). Does she ever learn? What is it with her and misleading men?
I'd go after Hillary's hedging and hawing her war votes and social security and her polarizing nature and liklihood of costing Democrats seats in congress over time.
Good Luck.
Note: the first YouTube is amusing and is not about Hillary - it's about ann coulter and is funny. The 2nd is a Ron Paul Revolution youtube and third I have no idea. I'm not advocating the 2nd or 3rd Youtubes as ads - they're just out there and some people might find some aspects of them amusing.
The Politico ran my op-ed today, "Burning Tires and Liquid Coal: The Clinton-Obama Energy Plan" about how both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have, despite compiling generally pro-environment records, caved to polluters at key moments, "casting doubt on how much they will fight for the planet when special interests stand in the way."
Here are some key excerpts:
Clinton's moment of truth came in 2005, when executives at the International Paper mill in upstate Ticonderoga, N.Y., were pressing to cut costs by burning old tires to provide power for their operations. Tires are one of the most toxic fuels known to man, and people downwind from the plant (including Republican Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas) were organizing a campaign to stop IP from poisoning their air with mercury, benzene and other deadly chemicals.
