Al-Qaida cries foul over pro-Obama media bias

Apparently Sean Hannity and Ayman al-Zawahiri have something in common: They both think that Obama has gotten a free ride in the press.

Though hardcore Al-Qaida supporters have predictably dismissed any criticism of Dr. al-Zawahiri and are fiercely backing his choice of words, there is a rather ironic (if not entirely unfamiliar) twist to this issue. After observing international press reporting on the incident, these same supporters are now bitterly attacking the media for its "unfair" pro-Obama bias and for deliberately "confusing" the meaning of al-Zawahiri's message.

Confusing the meaning of his message?  The dude called Barack Obama a "house slave." Even if he didn't know the context of the term in American history, saying that about a guy who took on (and beat) not only the ruling establishment of the country, but also his own party's elite, is madness.

Then again, this is al-Qaida we're talking about.

Al-Qaida's race problem

Remember al Qaida?  While we are bickering over minute details of the Obama cabinet, worrying about the economy and replaying the primary wars, al-Qaida has given America a clear path to victory.
They leveled a major racial attack on Obama.  The #2 man al-Zawahri called Obama a "house negro" and is trying to rally Muslims against him with racial attacks.  They recognize the danger Obama represents.  But their racial attacks destroy the façade that they are an Islamic movement representing the Muslim word.   Instead they are a racist organization that has an Arab First mentality.

Obama needs to exploit this opening, denounce their leadership as Arab racists, discuss the prevalent racism in Arab societies and plant the seeds of al-Qaida's finial destruction.   He needs to point out how their attacks rarely kill other Arabs but instead Pashtuns, Asians, Kurds, and Africans are the true suffering people. A good start would be an interview with al Jerzeera to begins a strong race based smear campaign that will mortally wound al-Qaida and force them to play defense on their home turf, the PR game.   His race, his name and his oration lend him international credibility that could resonate in the Muslim world. Al Qaida is afraid of him and their fear has given Obama an opportunity that must be exploited quickly.

This is one of the (many) benefits to having a black man with the name Barack Hussein Obama as our president.  He needs to use his race and his name as a foil to destroy the al Qaida PR machine and destroy international Islamic terrorism.

Al-Qaida #2: "Obama's a house negro." (Updated.)

From AP over the past hour (and I see it's already available here on MyDD via a link from the MSNBC feed, too), we have Al-Qaida's #2 in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, calling out our President-elect with racial epithets: "Al-Qaida No. 2 insults Obama with racial epithet."

Disgusting.

It's going to be interesting, in coming months, seeing our focus in the mideast, as far as the military's concerned, finally shifting to where it should have been all along: Afghanistan.

Update: Kudos to Tariq Nelson as he nails it in his diary over at Daily Kos, "Al-Zawahiri's Attempt to Divide & Conquer," and here's the link: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/19/10141/443/597/663506.

"Web site tied to al-Qaida backs McCain"

i was stumbling around on the internet when i found  this on msnbc.  If anything, it is more of a reason that we need change and we need an Obama presidency.  I don't know how much stock i hold in this article because we have had threats before, but it is a scary thought either way

Quit tearing the party apart!

I knew it would come to this one day, because one side was so stubborn and the other side was feeling rejected. Maybe this rift can be filled one day, but right now, there is only pain and hurt. Makes one wonder how it all came down to this.

That's right, al-Qaida and Iran have irreconcilable differences, they are tearing their Axis of Evil apart.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id= D90740NO2&show_article=1

The increasing enmity toward Iran is a notable change of rhetoric from al-Zawahri, who in the past rarely mentioned the country--apparently in a hopes he would be able to forge some sort of understanding with Tehran based on their common rivalry with the United States. Iran has long sought to distance itself from al-Qaida.

"Al-Zawahri wanted to work with Iran, but he's deeply disappointed that Iran has not cooperated with al-Qaida," said Rohan Gunaratna, a terrorism expert and author of "Inside al-Qaida: The Global Network of Terror."

So now, al-Zawahri "wants to appeal to the anti-Shiite, anti-Iran sentiments in the Arab and Muslim world," said Gunaratna, head of the International Center for Political Violence and Terrorism Research in Singapore.

Al-Zawahri appeared intent on exploiting widespread worry in the Arab world over Iran's influence, particularly in Iraq, to garner support for al-Qaida. At the same time, he sought to denigrate Iran's ally Hezbollah, which has gained some popularity even among Sunnis in the region for its fight against Israel.

But in many of his answers, al-Zawahri went out of his way to criticize Iran. He said the Iraqi insurgent umbrella group led by al- Qaida, called the Islamic State of Iraq, is "the primary force opposing the Crusaders (the United States) and challenging Iranian ambitions" in Iraq.

Great, al-Zawahri plays the race card. Way to turn the Arabs against the Persians, asshole. This Jihad was suppose to be about ideas and policies, but here al-Zawahri goes back to the terrorism of old.

"Iran's aim here is also clear--to cover up its involvement with America in invading the homes of Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq," he added. Iran cooperated with the United States in the 2001 U.S. assault on Afghanistan that toppled al-Qaida's allies, the Taliban.

This campaign of dirty tricks has to end, you don't go into Jihad as a people divided. You don't see Iran bringing up Osama's playboy youth or compassionate sane cleric.

Iran has never been in bed with America, while it is well know Osama was. Do you see Iran making obscure internet videos about that?

No. Because they are against tearing this party apart.

The rhetoric is a stark change for al-Zawahri, who in the past did not seek to exploit Shiite-Sunni tensions. When the former head of al- Qaida in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was waging a campaign of suicide bombings against Shiites in Iraq, al-Zawahri sent messages telling him to stop, fearing it would hurt al-Qaida's image.

This just goes to show al-Zawahri will stop at nothing to win this thing. He will flipflop, he will lie and he will ruin other members of the Axis of Evil for his own entitlement.

This was suppose to be a different Jihad, a Jihad about ideas. About policy. A Jihad where fanatical Muslims could walk hand in hand with other fanatical Muslims, regardless of sects, setting off each other's suicide belts, showing the world what a terrorist party united can do.

al-Zawahri has ruined that hope, which is why he is the real Great Satan.
