Harry Whittington emerged from the hospital, his face bruised and scabbed, and apologized to the man who shot him. It was like something from the Dark Age, a peasant kissing the boots of the Lord who beat him. Or accidentally beat him.
Not so many years ago the Right Wing yipped and yapped about a president caught in a sexual indiscretion. "What do we tell the children?" they asked.

The Bushies really showed their true stripes today. "Compassionate conservatism" was no where to be found as laughing and joking about a man being shot was the order of the day.
