In addition to blogging for the Tony Barr campaign, I'm also the precinct rep for the local county Democratic Committee. I have a small precinct. I just got finished calling all of my super-voters. Things look good in my small little fiefdom, we've done or are in the process of doing, everything we can to get Tony Barr elected.
There are no polls to tell us how we are doing, we haven't the money for polling and if the GOP is polling, they aren't sharing the data with anyone. To hear people talk, we're winning but the local GOP hacks can be awful smug.

In a true "Tortise and the hare" type story, the Tony Barr Campaign is rolling along. Somebody posted the following videos on You tube recently. To the best of My knowledge, these mysteriuos videographers are not directly contected to the campaign but here are links to the videos

Mike McIntee rocks, that's all I can say about it. He does spell Shuster incorrectly but I think the people of the PA-09th will know who the ad is talking about.
We've worked very hard and until just now, gotten little support from the blogoshpere as a whole and this feels like vindication, so, thank you blogosphere.
By the way, Tony just got endorsed by the Chambersburg public Opinion and we are picking up momentum.

It is now "Dinner season" here in the PA-09th. Democrats are putting on the ritz and slapping on the feedbag all over South Central PA. Last night, there were two dinners, in Juniata County, the turnout might not have been stadium capacity but the room was buzzing with tales of excited Democrats, teed-off Independents and disgusted Republicans.

Theodore Roosevelt once said "Patriotism means to stand by the Country. It does not mean to stand by the President." I am forced to wonder what Teddy Roosevelt would think of the present holder of his former office. I am forced to wonder what Teddy Roosevelt would think of his Republican party now.
There is no polite way to say this; it is the lack of leadership, the lack of vision, the lack of compassion, of shame, of humility, of decency exhibited by this President and the Republican Party leadership that finds us embroiled in sex scandals involving inappropriate communications with young boys and the possibility of negligence and cover ups, with a rapidly failing war of choice in Iraq, foreign enemies multiplying like rabbits on Viagra, a deficit climbing into some untold stratosphere, American jobs leaving this country by the truckload and some 46 million citizens without adequate access to healthcare.
