It's been pretty busy the past few days in the MSM and on the blogs with regard to commentary about Wall Street and our economic bailout. Herein, I hope to provide a little clarity for those believing everything they're reading. There's a lot of misinformation being spewn...and from some of the highest levels, too.
But, as the saying goes, "The Truth Is Out There." In fact, it's right here!
So, without fanfare, here are "Nine Bailout/Economy Lies and Deceptions We're Hearing Right Now:"

The history of Black Americans is a glorious one. It is a chronicle filled with much triumph, as well as many trials and tribulations. Yet, many debate whether a month that commemorates people, pitch in color, defies reason. Do the days dedicated to the acknowledgement of African American achievements divide us as a nation? The answer, some say is a complex one. Consider the thoughts of Columnist, Clarence Page of The Chicago Tribune. Is Black History Month already history? Well, it depends. Another view comes from a fellow Journalist and contributor to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Cynthia Tucker. She is more emphatic in her evaluation. Ms Tucker writes; Month robs blacks of part in U.S. history, It seems the subject, Black History Month, segregates opinions.

My friends at Wake-Up Wal-Mart and I have seen something remarkable:
In what we might presume to be the most bone-headed, most egregious iteration yet of the right-wing media's effort to convince <del>us all</del> itself that Wal-Mart = America, and that those who fault the company are in fact terrist sympathizers who no doubt also hate baseball and apple pie, this weekend the New York Post provided us with a nearly three thousand-word manifesto on Wal-Mart's unassailable decency, penned by intrepid regurgitator Charles Platt.
Memeorandum featured it, some right-wing blogs slobbered over it, and Sadly, No! decisively slapped it.
But surely I'm being hyperbolic here! I mean, we have differences of opinion in this country, but it's not like anyone's comparing workers' rights advocates to the Taliban. Right?

Why hasn't Hillary denounced her war vote? Her latest effort is a proposal for a vote to "deauthorize" the war. This is a way to appeal to liberal voters so that they will still think she is a liberal.
Tha truth is that this is a gimmick that everyone has fallen for. There has never been such a vote in all of recorded history, and there won't be one now. This proposal will never make it on to the floor. Hillary will never apologize because that will be admitting that she made a mistake.
Do we really want another candidate who will not admit they made a mistake? We have had one for 8 years now. I am ready for a different kind of president. One that is honest and ready to admint when they err. We can still have a strong leader, but one that is not afraid to change course when they are headed in that direction. I don't see this in Hillary Clinton.
I also think that the Clinton years was not as great as people think it was. Clinton gave us scandals, NAFTA which was the beginning of all the manufactured jobs leaving the US. Also, the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.
We have had 8 years of Clinton and 8 years of Bush and the United States is a lot worse off than ever. People saw an economic boon under Clinton and was it a real one or was it just one for the stockholders? It was the beginning of the service job era under Clinton and the end of manufacturing jobs and Bush continued it. Do we really want another 16 years of the same or do we want to go in another direction?
I say we elect someone who wants to bring manufacturing jobs back to america. Someone who will support unions and working people, not someone who says they do and than in the next breath make a free trade agreement that gives away jobs.
I am ready for a change or you?
