THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PLAN AND A CALL TO ACTION
Barack Obama has remained consistent in his position on Iraq and his plans for a change of course in our involvement with that region reflect that not only is his judgment far more superior than his fellow candidates, but that Barack Obama can be trusted to thoughtfully bring our men and women home and bring this war to an end. As we see Iraq today, there are no good options left, there are only bad and worse. Barack Obama understands this all to well.
Before I continue, I will offer a background, not of myself, but of Senator Barack Obama as he is the one running for president and not I. However, if anyone wishes to know more about me, they can go to my profile and if anyone would like to know why I am supporting Barack Obama, they are welcome to my blog posts on the senator. I believe it is more important to focus on the background of Obama to better understand where he is coming from with regards to his plan in Iraq. You will also see that major parts of his plan for Iraq have been used in several pieces of legislation proposed by the United States Senate .Traces of his plan can also be found in other Presidential Candidates latest plans, or in one case "ideas" for Iraq which, in my opinion, confirms why Obama's plan is superior.

From my Inbox...
All Americans want to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons and interfering on the ground inside Iraq.Yet, President Bush's continued saber rattling gives the US little additional leverage to engage and dissuade Iran, and, more than likely, simply accelerates a dangerous slide into war. The United States can do better than this.
Whatever the pace of Iran's nuclear efforts, in the give and take of the Administration's rhetoric and accusations, we are approaching the last moments to head off looming conflict. Surely, it is past time to urge President Bush to exercise leadership and start to work now to avoid a widening of the conflict in the Middle East.
That's why today, I'm joining Jon Soltz, Chairman of VoteVets.org, the preeminent organization representing Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans, to launch StopIranWar.com.
