(Folks, I didn't plan on posting a 4th diary on this, but since it now has exposure elsewhere, I figure I should.)

The Internet was ablaze with You Tube videos early Friday (5/1/08) showing footage from The War Room, Part 9, a documentary about Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign, that supposedly depicted Clinton aide Mickey Kantor referring to folks in Indiana as “shit.”  More outrageous versions were spawned later that also claimed that Kantor called people “white nig**rs.”  

None of it was true. By late Friday, it had been completely debunked, and Mickey Kantor vowed to take legal action against the culprits. (For background, check out D. Cupples’ earlier story here.)

Based on my research, I recommend that Kantor’s legal team immediately contact Jamal Brown of Venice, CA (Brown owns a small business that specializes in videos); Dietrich Cusseaux of Spring, TX; JedReport.com out of Las Vegas; Markos Moulitsas, owner of Daily Kos; and the Barack Obama campaign.  

CRITICAL SIDE NOTE: Six hours ago, Jamal Brown posted another YouTube video: “Hillary Clinton is trying to get Barack Obama killed!.” (No Quarter plans to address this abhorrent video in a separate story.)

UPDATE - Jamal Boone, an Obama supporter, has one pro-Clinton video listed as a favorite - The War Room, Part 9. Guess what happens starting at 4:39 in part 9? Yup, Mickey Kantor comes in....and you can guess the rest, but I'll spell it out anyways - part 9 was used to create BingoFrogger's original hoax video. END UPDATE.

I believe I've done it - discovered the persons responsible for the very first "people from Indiana are shit" hoax video, posted online by BingoFrogger on Thursday, 5/1/08 around 3 PM.  This video spawned later reposts all over the internets by a notorious hitman known as Politikewl - who is friends with JedReport at You Tube, and others, and then mutated into an even uglier hoax video, when someone decided to try to make others believe that Mickey Kantor used the term "white ni---rs" to describe people in Indiana.

This will be my last diary on this subject, because I am convinced I have solved it completely.  I will name the person who did this, in my opinion, based on the research.  I will take everyone through the evidence step by step.  I'm sorry to say these people are, at the very least, Obama supporters, and not right wing trolls trying to cause trouble.

So here we go, step by step...

1.  BingoFrogger posts the first video, still up, around 3 PM on 5/1.  This account was created on 5/1, which means BingoFrogger was created specifically to put out this video.  Perhaps he thought he was too smart to get caught.

FINAL UPDATE - I need to write a new diary. I believe I have identified who is behind the original video, posted by BingoFrogger.

OK folks, this is everything there is to know about the now-infamous You Tube videos floating around, that supposedly showed Mickey Kantor slamming folks in Indiana back in 1992.

There are fournow five now six "people" of interest:

1.  BingoFrogger at You Tube, the troll that put this out first.  BingoFrogger signed up at You Tube on May 1st specifically to post the first video.  Ben Smith at Politco was the first person who reported (he shows a link) BingoFrogger's video.

2.  Sorry I had to break the strike, but the next person of interest is Mintosh at Daily Kos, who posted a diary about BingoFrogger's video on May 1st at 8:03 PM (pacific).  I cannot find an earlier link or comment about the video anywhere UPDATE - please see below.

3.  Politikewl - a pro hitman if I ever saw one, who reposted the video around 2 AM on May 2nd.  I've already discussed Politikewl in-depth in my previous diary on this.  Politikewl posts videos attacking Hillary, and also supporting Obama, all over the place.

MAJOR UPDATE

Amazing what 10 hours of research can determine, compared to two hours.I have discovered an earlier version, put out by BingoFrogger at You Tube. This is Bingo's only video, so the name was created specifically for this historic moment in the troll's life. We can prove that this video was posted earlier than Politikewl's video, because of this blog post at a MySpace blog, posted on May 1st at 9:43 PM (time zone unknown) by someone named Stacie.

There's no doubt that Politikewl is bad news - Politikewl posts videos all over the place, and is worthy of ridicule and scorn. However, based on the time of Stacie's post at the MySpace blog, BingoFrogger's video was earlier.

I don't want to keep throwing stuff out here as I find it - fact is, troll research isn't always easy, so instead I'm just going to keep heading down the rabbit hole as far as I can, and then I'll post a new diary with my final findings.

I've had enough.  I'm declaring war...and I'm good at it.

Question - who is the first person at You Tube to release the now fully-discredited video showing Mickey Cantor and George Stephanopoulos discussing Indiana?

Answer - Politikewl, according to my research the past 2 hours, who posted the video before 2 AM PST early this morning.

Here's a google link for this unique screenname, and I'll be combing it as fast as I can to figure out who this person is, and I will do whatever I can to make life miserable for this troll.  A quick scan leaves no doubt that this troll is an Obama supporter, or at least appears to be (trolls can be so clever these days), but this does not mean, or prove in any way, that he/she has anything to do with the campaign.

If any intellectually honest people around here would like to pitch in, please feel free to.  In my opinion, when it comes to whack-a-moling trolls, honest people need to stick together, regardless of who they support.  Truth, above all other things, is what matters.

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying global warming the weather as much as we are in Alaska today...a group of us are up north raising millions and millions money today on behalf of Senator Ted Stevens, at his private residence.  I don't know about you guys, but this is the first time I've ever enjoyed an outdoor BBQ by a pool the size of Rhode Island in April.

Senator Stevens built the pool as large as Rhode Island, with leftover funds from that bridge to nowhere has screwed served Alaskans proudly for years, so when he calls key allies and threatens to spill some secrets asks for help with his campaign, we're more than happy to pitch in.  George, Dick, Condi, Johnny Mac - everyone is here...
