Patrick Murphy has issued a statement criticizing Andy Warren on his double talk when it comes to the campaign.
Looks like the Murphy06 folks really did their research here. It would be interesting to see someone from the Warren camp try and explain these. The message reads as follows:

My mom always used to tell me: "You can tell a lot about somebody by the friends they keep."
Judging by Andy Warren's friends, he would not only make a lousy Democratic nominee in PA-08, but is a pretty detestable type of guy. [By the way, Warren is a 41-year veteran of the Republican Party, who magically made the switch to D when he couldn't find a job in Republican politics.]
To catch you up to speed - Patrick Murphy's first experience with one of Andy's friends was when Andy encouraged a former Republican committeewoman, convicted in 1996 of forging signatures (and consequently barred from holding elected office), to file a worthless petition challenge on his behalf? This deservedly earned Andy the wanker of the day over at Eschaton.]
However, it gets a WHOLE lot worse. See Andy's surrogates are now out there attacking Patrick Murphy's military record.

For those of you who don't know him, Andy Warren is a 41-year Republican, who decided to switch parties because he couldn't get a job in Republican politics. He is now trying to slash and burn his way to the Democratic nomination in PA-08. And while I am the first to embrace party switchers, the problem is that its hard to figure out where Andy stands on, well anything, as his prior statements keep coming back to bite him in the ass.

Today at school, I met Patrick Murphy for the first time. Murphy spoke to a group of law students about both his experiences in Iraq, which were pretty incredible, and his campaign.
Before I get into this deeper, which I do below, I want to stress one thing: Patrick Murphy is the real deal.

Disclosure: I grew up in this district (Warminster, PA) and my parents and granmother still live there. I AM a supporter of Patrick Murphy and in my spare time and when I get to the district, I have volunteered to do work for his campaign. More than anything, I am looking for some way to affect change in this district even though I can't be a constant boot on the ground.
Former Republican Andrew Warren's scorched earth campaign for the Democratic nomination in PA-08 (remember this is the guy who used a convicted felon to try and kick the Democratically endorsed candidate off the ballot) hit a brick wall yesterday, as PoliticsPA caught the former Republican lying on the front page of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
