As the Robert Kennedy, Jr. Rolling Stone article"Was the 2004 Election Stolen?" makes its way through the blogsphere's collective consciousness, it becomes clear that the Republicans have a modus operandi when it comes to elections.

You would be a fool to not believe that Michigan will receive the same special treatment that Ohio and Florida before it has experienced.

When you consider that many Democratic precincts state wide have much greater number of voters packed in than the Republican precincts, it should be clear to anyone that it is impossible for full turnout to occur.

My diary yesterday Winning Before Election Day got a lot of comments, for MyDD, and set of a storm of entries on my own site which had the original data, Political Dogfight.

When DavidNYC gave the article and audiocast some play at Swing State Project the site got very busy indeed.

I've not had so many comments on my blog in a very, very long time. The comments here were very interesting as well.

My question: Do you want to have a Teleconference on the Topic and the tiny elements that can make a real difference?

More will show up than make a comment here...but if I see enough to make it worthwhile then....

In the last 6 months I've become more and more aware of how the Republicans have slipped one passed us for 15-20 years in broad daylight. While we gave the same topic lipservice, Absentee Ballots, they got dead serious and have kicked our ass in more than one spot with their efforts.

I wrote an article yesterday with specific stats at Political Dogfight with an advocacy ending about the real meaning of Absentee Ballots.

Today, with even more startling information, I recorded a Flash audio (no download) and mp3 podcast that is onsite at Political Dogfight that could show a lot of people the real meaning of Absentee Ballots and some ways to use them that aren't being done today.

It's a long article and a nearly 20 min audio. I'm not going to repeat the entire concept here at MyDD or anywhere else. I hope that years of blogging and staffing on campaigns has bought me enough street cred that you, or at least some of you, will go, read, then listen and see if there is new information for you and your goals.

Believe me, the Republicans figured this out 15-20 years ago. But if we get busy we can amaze the hell out of them. Please take the time to hear how you might envision:
