I hope they put him in the same cell as James Traficant.

Despite the fact that enforcement budgets are down and Ohio churches helped orchestrate Bush's 2004 victory (and were not investigated), the IRS has taken upon itself to investigate the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC).
Find out why on the flip...

In the Abramoff 53,dengre researched Abramoff connections but asked for help on the "Bench of Nine" that includes Tom Davis (R-11). He is running for reelection against Democrat Andy Hurst. If he wins reelection, Davis has ambitions for the Senate in 2008 and then the White House.
Davis has ties to Abramoff that inspired Andy Hurst to give Davis his first real challenge in 12 years. There's lots of reasons to vote for Andy Hurst over Davis, not just that Davis's corruption has infected Government Reform and races all over the country. But those are good reasons.
Public Citizen and CapitalEye have found ties from Tom Davis and Abramoff, especially through super-lobbyist Dan Mattoon, but Davis has somehow escaped scrutiny and has never been held accountable. The DailyKos community can unseat Davis. Contribute to and volunteer for Andy Hurst. Davis has used the millions he has from fundraising to influence races in 40 States, 42 Districts, 3 senate races, totaling 103 candidates, not counting his NRCC fundraising, His money is probably in your state. Kick him out!

Inspector General Glen Fine released an investigative report, dated June 2006, stating that Jack Abramoff was not responsible for the ousting of U S Attorney Fred Black on Guam. It was simply a matter of the President and the Republican Party wanting the nephew of a world renowned organized crime figure to head-up the Justice Department in that part of the world. Sort of like keeping the terrorists in Iraq, they'll keep Guam mobsters more comfortable in Guam.
The comfort factor also came into play when Robert Meissner completed his Immigration Security Report concerning the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands dated May 6, 2002.
Jack Abramoff had his copy by June 2002. The Congress of the United States never got theirs. (Maybe they chew a lot of Tums.)

I just love talking about Rob Haswell cause here is one candidate who has never run before and who's running one of the most energized and smartest campaigns in the Lake Tahoe area.
In case you haven't heard about Rob Haswell yet, and considering we're mostly talking about congressional and gubernatorial campaigns you probably haven't, he's running in California's open (!) 4th Assembly district which ranges from the suburbs of Sacramento up to Lake Tahoe. The district mostly overlapses with the 4th Congressional district represented by Abramoff buddy John Doolittle. Running against Doolittle is fighting Dem Charlie Brown.
