AP Wrong. Hillary Not Conceding

And no doubt why the story didn't try to claim Hillary Clinton said that, only the casual referenced "officials".  Like all the other claims others have made during this entire primary.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM CLINTON CAMPAIGN:

The AP story is incorrect. Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination this evening.

But this really isn't a surprise that they (opposition) would resort to this as any means to try to change voting today, does it?  We've seen it this entire campaign season.

The difference is, the voters keep telling them, the media and the DC Insiders, they have a different mind than what they have been trying to push at us.

So, how 'bout it South Dakota and MONTANA!  You gonna' show DC who represents the PEOPLE and who the PEOPLE CHOOSE OVERWHELMINGLY?  The Lady who's been winning the Popular Vote?  Tell them elections are for the people and by the people and you choose Hillary!  Make it an easy choice for the party Delegates to choose Hillary as the nominee.

Elect the lady who has stood firm with the people and for the people, not resorted to these dirty campaign tactis of what is becoming more clear is politics of the norm, no longer reserved just for NeoCons.

Montana and South Dakota, you can do it.  Send a clear message on these dirty games and elect the person who best represents you and give us President Hillary!  Make it an overwhelming, Yes She will, for the Delegates to declare!

Wow.  Obama's clearly much more sophisticated than even we his supporters give him credit for if he can put people in the Clinton campaign.

No responsible journalistic outfit would run this story if their only sourcing was the Obama campaign.  I'm fairly sure the source for this is undisciplined Clinton staffers - perhaps without all the information, but Clinton staffers nonetheless.

Re: AP Wrong. Hillary Not Conceding (2.00 / 5)

The people who leaked this report are sexists.

Why should HIllary concede?

Delegate counts should be decided based on the rules of golf with of course only the two highest numbers eligible.

I thought they should be based on the sales of the Clinton Chocolate and Obama Oatmeal cookies at cookie stores in malls and downtowns across the country.

Now stop that (none / 0)

Are you saying Clinton is Chocolate?

Why do you Obama people have to play the race card?

Now you want to base it on selling cookies instead of who got more votes in states that Hillary won.

My position from the beginning has been that the winner of the popular vote in the states Hillary has won should be the nominee and I'm not going to flip flop by basing it on cookie sales.

Didn't you post this once already? (none / 0)

by emptythreatsfarm on Tue Jun 03, 2008 at 01:02:50 PM EST

So, Alegre posted the same diary twice yesterday. (none / 0)

We tried to get them both on the Rec list, but the Obamatrons in administration must've deleted one of them.

I mojoed both. (2.00 / 5)

Those were two of the best diaries I've ever seen.  I can't believe that I was the only one who mojoed for about an hour.

Re: Didn't you post this once already? (none / 0)

Oh, I can read.

I'm just skeptical.

How do you "accidentally" delete a diary?

And even if you did, hasn't this one become redundant?

Reposting comment from deleted diary. (2.00 / 2)

who the PEOPLE CHOOSE OVERWHELMINGLY

Overwhelmingly?  There are metrics in which Hillary Clinton leads the popular vote - metrics that require that we pretend there are no Obama supporters in Michigan and that caucus states don't count - but even those don't show an overwhelming popular vote lead for Clinton.

Re: Clinton is listening to her supporters (none / 0)

I doubt it.  Enthusiastic supporters are usually very upset and prone to make crazy statements like this when their candidate is down.  The closeness and length of this race multiplies that trend by a hundred.  But when all is said and done, there's no way a Democrat could honestly say that McCain is closer to what they value than Obama is.  If they do say that, then you might want to check their label--you might just be talking to a Republican operative.

reality check (2.00 / 1)

Clinton needs 200.5

You Obamabots are trying to change the rules.

The parties agreed that this was a mix of baseball and golf.  It's the lowest score that wins but the minimum must be 1500.

Hillary has won, it is time for Obama to concede.

"dirty campaign tactics" (none / 0)

I look forward to the magical day when Democrats don't accuse fellow Democrats of illegal campaigning or election corruption without evidence.

Re: "dirty campaign tactics" (2.00 / 3)

Oh, you mean Obama is dropping out of the election finally?

...did you miss everything during this election?  Do you really have such selective memory......Obama goes in front of cameras and lies and says they aren't accusing Hillary of this or that, and FINALLY (I'm sure unexpected), Tim Russert says, "but we have pages of emails from your South Carolina Cmpg Mgr saying exactly that".

...even as recent as last Sunday on This Week with STephanopolis questioning Axelrod and their using Hillary's interview with Argus Leader.....you know, the one that ENDORSED HER, to say, you all are sending this out to try accuse Hillary of something she didn't say about the RFK assination, Axelrod said "no", "it was an unfortunate statement"......George, "but I have emails you all are sending out with Keith Olbermann's comments".

'nuf said....more reality biting you.

Linda, take a breath. She isn't conceding - we don't expect her to. That would take class and insight and strength of character, and, well, you know. She won't concede, and that's what makes this all the more pathetic. She ought to. She'd look classy. But she won't. And people like you will yell and spit at the teevee...the rest of us are moving on.
