NYT Advocates Voter Fraud

Clinton won IN by a much larger margin.

It is common knowledge that there was rampant voter fraud
going on in the Gary area. Their reporting results extraordinarily
late  is an instant tip-off.

Even worse:  11,000 absentee votes is unprecedented for that
area. Even 1,000 absentee votes in that area would rouse suspicion.

Yet the NYT is only too happy to ignore this, and reportthat the
narrow win for Clinton in IN is reason for her
to get out of the race.

No longer the independent newspaper respected world-wide, the
old grey lady has joined the bandwagon, behind  her buddy, MSNBC,
CNN and the rest of MSM.

Deceiving her readers.  Reporting advertising and propaganda as news.  Looking the other way while the nation's laws are broken.

The way decent Europeans in another era, turned away while
atrocities went on.

Poll
is there ever justification for deceptive news reporting?
yes
no
only if MSM has an important agenda, or candidate they want to push

Re: This newspaper has sold its soul (none / 0)

Is that a criticism of any particular endorsement the NYT made, or just a general feeling?

Re: NYT Advocates Voter Fraud (1.75 / 4)

Garbage.  The NYT is not advocating voter fraud.  Please provide your evidence that any fraud took place.  Please provide links showing why high levels of absentee ballots is suspicious, given this is what the campaign teams were pushing, ahead of the new voter ID laws.  Just provide evidence for ANYTHING at all.

While you are at it, can you explain why areas of New York with high AA populations registered not one vote for BO in the primary?  Was that voter fraud, and if so, are you outraged?

by interestedbystander on Thu May 08, 2008 at 08:11:55 AM EST

I see (2.00 / 1)

Since there was evidence of voter fraud in NYC, it is OK for the NYT to ignore it altogether.
Why don't we just state the truth.  America is not a democracy.
Our communications are 100% corrupt, the most corrupt candidate wins.  Very depressing.

"a flaw in your otherwise stellar logic." Stellar logic. Yup. A flaw. I was suspicious of there being a vague inconsistency as well, but perhaps I am missing something.

Re: NYT Advocates Voter Fraud (2.00 / 3)

Your claim is that there were a lot more absentee ballots than before -- well, sure.

The Obama campaign made a major push to get absentee votes and early voting in IN and NC.  You have no real analysis of how much that increased in every community, nor the communities where they expected to get a lot of votes.

So the idea that this is a sign of corruption or poor reporting is just stuff and nonsense.

Booooo! Booooo!  Did the rural, overwhelmingly white county of Union County, Indiana, which reported after Gary, also commit voter fraud?

You were in there booing in WV (2.00 / 1)

at HRC's campaign speech.

Since the NYT reports this kind of thing against the candidate, and not against rowdy behavior, it's time for Clinton supporters to start giving Obama a little taste of what he's been pulling all along.

Nah, I have too much respect for Hillary to boo her speeches.  Her supporters disappoint me sometimes though.  Voter fraud indeed!  Prove it.

So then by you're really betting that you'll vote for Obama because he's able to freeze hell over through his connections.

All early voting in Indiana is on "absentee ballots."

Re: Lake County Fraud (2.00 / 1)

Lake County has a known history of fraud, especially with absentee ballots; all you have to do is google it.

In a 2003 election, for example, criminal investigations resulted in forty convictions of voter fraud by a state grand jury.

p.s.  if the Lake County delay in counting the votes in this primary had been an HRC-friendly county, just imagine the uproar and the MSM banner headlines.  Double Standard Press continues.
