(Poll) Is the Dem Race Over?

There's the usual push-pull on this site.

In general, Hillary's supporters believe she will eventually win the nomination, even if it means a difficult convention fight. In Churchillian terms, they believe Hills will never be defeated.

But a few of her supporters now tell me the race has been decided.

Me thinks it's a good time for a pulse and for some eye candy.

Okay. Everyone roll up their sleeves and rock da vote.

Remember: this is a secret ballot.  You can vote your conscious without fear of retribution.  Full results will be posted.

Re: (Poll) Is the Dem Race Over? (2.00 / 2)

It was over in February when people did the math and looked at the rate of superdelegate endorsements.  Of course, no one believed us back then.

Re: (Poll) Is the Dem Race Over? (none / 0)

"No one" of course being hyperbole, there were some Clinton supporters who could see that losing all those February states by 2-1 margins just put Obama too far ahead in pledged delegates, and started the long-running trend of him closing the superdelegate gap (at that point Clinton's only way of winning).  Yeah, several of those states were caucuses that clearly favored Obama's organizational ability and activist support, and yeah a bunch of others favored him demographically, but that didn't change the fact that netting 10-30 delegates each in 9 contests was more than Clinton could afford to let go.

Also hyperbole was claiming that she couldn't win after February, she still could have, if she had started winning the remaining states by 2-1 margins as well.  If she had won Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania the way she won West Virginia, we'd be talking about when Obama would be dropping out and endorsing Clinton.

Re: (Poll) Is the Dem Race Over? (2.00 / 5)

It was over after Wisconsin, but it's not over for 2-3 more weeks.

Unless you are really out there, in which case it's not over until every single delegate has cast their vote at the convention, cause maybe... maybe... all of them will switch to Hillary at the last second.

Now see, I ind it surprising that viewers of The Wes Wing would favor Clinton... she kept referring to Obama as "my opponent" rather than by his name...

That was one of Jed Bartlett's big pet peeves....

You appear to want a united party that's capable of winning in November. So tell me what is your view on divisive diaries?

Why is this diary divisive?  It solicits information.  I understand your opposition to reaidents as such.  I, personally denounce and reject not just reaident trolls, but also reaident hobgoblins, fairies and ogres.  Reaident ogres really screw things up.  But this diary seems pretty straight-forward.

I get it, but remember not all residents are bad. I would have given it the benefit of the doubt too, if it weren't for the history of this troll.

It's divisive to me because of the way the poll questions are worded.

Monitor calibration is always an problem (2.00 / 3)

it is very easy for a monitor to fall out of calibration, especially laptops and flat screens.  It's not like a TV set.

I've always been aware of this, cuz a given photo will look different depending if a reader has too much contrast on their monitor or if they have it running of "Cool" or "Warm".

80 percent of the time I have to adjust my photos, cuz they're not configured for the net set, they're configured for newspaper and print magazine consumption.  Printing on pulp is way different than hi-resolution pixels.  That's another issue - size and resolution.  Most people have their screens at 1024 X 768, but some Mac people and gamers will set their screens to 1900 x 1200.

It will be all too evident on Tuesday Denial ends (2.00 / 1)

On Tuesday Obama will reach (or be very close to reaching) the magic 2,025 number needed to clinch the Democratic Nomination.

Next week should be very interesting indeed.

After Mississippi it was clear to all who were willing to look at the numbers honestly who this nomination was going to go to.
