A little over a week ago when Gallup released a survey showing Barack Obama's approval rating falling to 56 percent, the Beltway media took note, as did conservatives. But now that the President's approval rating has hit a robust 60 percent in Gallup polling for a second straight day, and third day in the last six, where's the chatter?

but also the economy...the stock market rallied big time this week and that could have stunted any drop in his approval ratings.
Stuck on 51 at Rasmussen. Before we dismiss Ras, perhaps Democratic voters are less engaged and because they're down on the economy, they're down on Obama.
I think the Gallup bounce is the health care speech plus stock market rally. The Gallup tracker is more reactive to events than other polling.
they had Bush's approval ratings 10 points higher than they actually were in every other poll. When Bush was at 30%, Ras had him at 40%.
Add 10 to the number...so if Obama is at 51, he's actually at 61.
He had Republicans leading Democrats on the issue of SOCIAL SECURITY!!! after what they tried to do to it in 2005. He may be good at election results, but he SUCKS at issue and approval polls.
