Tracking Poll Update: Or What?

Composite:	50.375	44.00

Last night's Washington Post/ABC News tracking poll had Barack Obama's lead holding firm at 52 percent to 44 percent over John McCain, and the Battleground tracker (.pdf) this morning had Obama's lead inching up to 49 percent to 45 percent. All in all, it certainly looks like whatever mini-bounce McCain was enjoying, inching up a point or so in recent days, may have subsided. At the least, McCain is still having real difficulty crossing that 45 percent Mendoza line.

Don't think that McCain is pondering the possibility of losing on Tuesday? Take a look at this:

Gallup looks great

OK, so Gallup looked a little scary early this week, but this is a wonderful Halloween present. I guess the Great Pumpkin came this year.

Even using the conservative Traditional voter model, Obama is now up by 8%. I am certain that this is not the way that the McCain camp wanted to start the weekend.

Especially among women. I know several women who are going to vote somewhat reluctantly for Obama, because they can just not vote for Palin. If she is the future of the GOP, then the GOP has no future.
