Windsor Heights Precinct 2

We are inside precinct Windsor Heights Precinct 2 for live blogging (or at least till the power runs out). It's packed, there were 175 persons here last year, but way over 200, gotta be close to 300 are inside the hall right now. It's located Clive, just west of Des Moines, and we are at the elementary school. The Republicans are in the auditorium, Democrats in the meeting room.
There are 6 delegates up for the taking here.
293 came into the room:
Clinton 63
Obama 86
Edwards 83
Biden 24
Richardson 28
Uncommitted 2
Dodd 9
Kucinich 1
44 needed for viability.
Now they are bargaining (we are also video taping this). But the totals don't add up, so there's some confusion happening (while at the same time bartering has begun).
Update [2008-1-3 20:55:7 by Jerome Armstrong]:Looks like they are doing some recounting.
OK, here are the numbers after those who were not viable head into their second choices (or go home):
Obama 104
Edwards 115
Clinton 74
Each of them got 2 delegates. Clinton was at 1.47 delegates (the closest to rounding up), and the Edwards people tried to come over to the Obama camp and get 7 of them to move to Edwards (which would have bumped Edwards up to 3 and left Clinton with 1), but none of the Obama people would budge (this is great on video).
What an experience. You may not like the fact that only Iowa gets to have this sort of participatory democracy, but if this ever gets taken away from Iowa, we will lose something that's special.
Update [2008-1-3 20:55:7 by Jerome Armstrong]: Now each of the three camps that were viable are choosing two persons to be delegates for the precinct, and then a move (met with a loud aye) is motioned and approved to ratify the delegates.
