This ad is going up from Americans United against Mitch McConnell's Iraq support. It's a $200K buy and it's timed with the Congressional recess.
McConnell is showing extreme electoral weakness. This front-page piece from the Politico, quoting someone named Mark Stoller, discusses the movement to push him out of office.
Republicans have a choice. They can end the war. Or they can face extinction. Susin Collins, Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Saxby Chambliss, Thad Cochran, Norm Coleman, Larry Craig, Elizabeth Dole, Pete Domenici, Mike Enzi, Lindsay Graham, James Inhofe, Pat Roberts, Jeff Sessions, Ted Stevens, Mark Pryor, John Sununu, and John Warner are all up for reelection in 2008. Some of these Senators are more vulnerable than others, but here's the thing.
Every single Senator on this list has given their potential opposition something popular to run on and a clear fundraising strategy. If you are thinking of challenging one of these people, keep that in mind.
