Hey, that was my pitch...

I got through, I think. But the show I heard on the 'net via a link on this thread was about the Iraq insanity. (I was going to ask about why it is so difficult for the Democrats to just pass a binding bill. And to set up 100 committees, which would grill everyone in the administration, from the Commander in Chimp to the white house animal officer, every single day?)

But when they were on the phone they were talking about this proposed 'third party' that would run a mix of Democrats and Republicans. (I tried to emphasize that third parties are pretty much unworkable because of the black hat syndrome of the plurality voting system -- and this is not due to some 'winner take all' phenomenon -- although that gets repeated a lot.) I listened on, and I think somebody there was figuring out that this 'new third party' was probably a way for the Republicans to 're-brand' themselves after a potential debacle in '08.

The topic disconnect confused the hell out of me.

I listened, but got the Feb. 18th show.

Last week I attempted to listen on my mp3 player, but I gave up because the volume was too low. I listen to dozens of podcasts, and this was the first one I've ever deleted because of volume. I'll try listening again tomorrow.
