This is bizarre. But i'm happy it's getting some notice. Is it safe to say that Lieberman has no chance in the primary on Tuesday? Especially now given that Lieberman has given up his field operations.
Our goal now should be to win by 20% or more.
Then we should challenge Lieberman's signatures, like we did with Nader and line up Bill Clinton and others to support Ned over Joe.
Finally, we should hang the "sore-loserman" label around Joe's neck for the next 2.5 months.
And we definitely want as big a victory as possible. The more we bury Lieberman, the faster his independent bid will wither away. Also, a resounding victory will send a very loud message to other Democrats to do their jobs properly.
Regarding the chance Lieberman has in the primary, let's still not forget that he has a lot of institutional support, which means that any Lieberman supporters are going to be well hounded to go to the polls. We can't afford to slack off--nothing is in the bag until after the polls close. (Well, maybe 10 minutes before polls close.)
No wonder Lieberman is sinking int he polls. He has all this money, and he is spenign it by paying a couple dozen supporters to show up at a cheeseburger place? Yeah, that's a good idea. And look at all the good press it has gotten him.
You know, when this primary thing came about I was kinda in the Joe camp. "Why waste resources on dems when we can fight the gop" was my thinking.
I am now rooting for Net Lamont! If he wins the primary "and I honestly think he will" I pledge to contribute to his campaign.
Joe is a fool, he can take his ball and go home. He is giving a bad name to dems across the country.
Go Ned!!!
