McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

Senate Majority project found this quote from McCain '08:

"The President's leadership has earned our trust in the war on terror, and surely his administration deserves the presumption that they would not sell our security short."

But wait!  In 2004, here's what McCain said:

"I said no. My answer is still no. No confidence."

McCain '08!

He wants THE list

of Bush's donor.  THAT'S the dirty little secret.  He'll suck up to Bush until 2008 cause he wants to be the heir apparent and fundraise.

He was curiously silent

when campaigning for the Senate about the Chinese influence in Panama. Even more curious b ecause he was born there.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

We need to keep outing McCain and get the MEDIA to report on his "flip flops".  McCain is no better then the rest of "them".  Sometimes I think McCain and Lieberman share the same brain.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

McCain is the evil spawn of compassionate conservatism which is itself the most common of Bushisms: A Lie.

My Greatest Nightmare: McCain vs. Hillary '08...

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

You are off by a couple of years.  It is more like McCain in '06, replacing Cheney when he resigns for "health reasons" and soon after to replace Bush when he is also forced to resign.  The pardons are set and the fix is in...

I think that's very possible, steve.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

However, going one step further...

If McCain pardons Bush,,, that pretty much will mean that Ralph Nader will have a clear shot at becoming his Democratic opponent in '08.

And then, finally, monkeys will fly out of my butt.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

What I mean is, anyone who takes Bush's place and then pardons Bush is going to have to carry all his dirty laundry. That won't look good as the economy turns pumpkin-like, and the War for Nothing drags on, etc. You could run a monkey against that replacement.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

(I do think Nader may be possibly the sole potential candidate around with the necessary combination of toughness, intelligence, etc. to begin to organize a recovery of the U.S.)

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

I'm sorry, but the ghost of my Aunt Ava has a better chance of being elected President than Ralph Nader.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

Some people seem to think Nader had something to do with Kerry losing places like Florida in the 2000 election. But I have finally decided that that is just false. It is completely obvious that, without Nader, "the nerd ranch hackers in Idaho" [allegorical construct] would have adjusted the computer voting system to squeeze out a few more votes for Bush. I spent month blogging at the repentantnadervoter dot org site prior to the 2004 election hack.

In my book, Feingold and Edwards are good, but I see Nader as a potential FDR.

Re: McCain '08 Supports Bush on Ports

You're quoting McCain's comments about Rumsfeld to impeach McCain's comments about Bush. Not exactly right, although sure, there's a tension.
