Kentucky and Indiana

I'm watching returns from Kentucky and Indiana over at the CNN web page. Anyone got a better site?

Also, an exit poll of some kind shows Democrat Yarmuth winning KY-03 by 51-47, with 2% refusing to answer. That was the race I was looking at as the bellwether for months.
  • Yarmuth leads KY-03 51.1%--47.6% with 15% reporting. That would be just, friggin' huge.
  • Yarmuth still leads 51%-48%, with 37% reporting.
  • Northup (R) takes a very slight lead, 50-49, by about 400 votes, with 55% reporting. I don't know what areas are left, and to whom they are favorable.

FYI, that should be IN-08.  Otherwise, so far, so good.

Re: Kentucky and Indiana

The Lamont race in CT is the one that I really hope we can win.  Against all the polls, I've been trusting my gut and my heart and just believing that Ned would pull it out.   Huge turnout in CT tonite, on a par with a Presidential race, which should be to Lamont's advantage.   I'm predicting that Schlesinger is going to take out a bigger bite of the pie than anyone anticipated.

I don't have anything better.

washingtonpost.com has the KY-03 at just 1% of precincts vs. 15% at CNN.

Re: Kentucky and Indiana

I'm predicting Yarmuth to pick up, and I'm predicting 33 seats total.  If Yarmuth wins, we definately win the 15, and probably at least 25 unless the race is just a fluke.

Re: Kentucky and Indiana

Certainly not top tier, that being said when i phonebanked with moveon i called this district and talked to a family of Republicans who said they'd be voting for Yarmuth.

Re: Kentucky and Indiana

Bowers has Yarmuth as a Tier-1 pickup opportunity. He has sixteen candidates as Tier-0 and 23 candidates as Tier-1.

Re: Kentucky and Indiana

KY-02,03,04 are competitive. In recent polls, Yarmuth was up by a couple of points.

KY-04 is another one to watch: recent polls show it tied, with the republican up by a point.

Re: Early returns looking bad in IN-07

Not true, the polling has showed Carson down or even.  I thought the polling was just bad though.  We'll see when the other 62% comes in.

Re: Early returns looking bad in IN-07

Is this serious? I mean, I know the polling showed it very close. And I know the concerns about Carson: she's ill and couldn't campaign much. If she loses it wouldn't mean much in itself, considering her situation, but it would mean another seat we need. Still, is she in real jeopardy here?
