Republicans Support Treason

Since it is more or less impossible for Republicans to fire Rove unless he is frog-marched out of the White House for his treasonous acts, Republicans have decided that they love treason. First, Ken Melhman said that Rove' treason was a good thing: The bottom line is Karl Rove was discouraging a reporter from writing a false story based on a false premise and the Democrats are engaging in blatant partisan political attacks. Hey Ken--he discouraged a reporter from writing a story by illegally leaking classified information relating to national security.

Now, Faux News joins the choir:

FOX News anchor John Gibson just said onair that he thought Karl Rove deserves a medal [Oliver wrote "memo," but I assume he meant medal] if he outed Valerie Plame. Let me repeat: John Gibson, anchor at the FOX News Channel, says he believes that we ought to expose our covert government agents and harm national security... as long as it benefits Republicans. So, that's what Republicans have been reduced to. After denying Rove had any part in this for two years, now that they can no longer deny Rove was the treasonous leaker, they have decided that treason is a good thing.

Did I say the word "treason" enough in this post? I don't think so.

Update:CNN registers with the Republican Party:

BOB FRANKEN (national correspondent): And just a nod from the president, but no answer, Kyra, when he was asked about Karl Rove today at a photo op. Kyra?

PHILIPS: Bob, definitely a major smear campaign going on. I mean, what's the chances of hearing from Karl Rove? Could he speak? Could he come forward? A lot of people said that could just clear the air if he just came forward and gave the facts.

FRANKEN: Well, the White House would respond that the Democrats are involved in something akin to a smear campaign. The Democrats would only say that they're only interested in good government. And the White House says that in the context of an investigation that's ongoing Karl Rove should not speak.

What an atrocity. You can also se the video of Gibson suggesting awarding medals for treason here.

Why do Republicans HATE Amurica...?
Is this how the Republicans fight the War on Terror... by giving Osama Bin Laden the name of a CIA agent who was uncovering WMD in arab countries...

Can there be anything more teasonous than publishing the names of our CIA agents when the country in the midst of war????

Republicans support traitors
Any Republican who does not demand that Bush fire Rove is aiding and abetting treason. If you vote Republican in 2006, you are voting to condone treason.

Friends don't let friends vote for traitors.

Re: Republicans support traitors
You are talking like Ralph, Got our ass in all this trouble to begin with, Nader

You need an extra 5% to 10% to regain control.

Now if like Darth Nader that doesn't interest you then go right ahead with your little song and dance.

You can think Gore would have nominated this supream court nominee if you want.....

So let me get this straight
Ann Coulter was actually recommending Democrats for the Medal of Freedom when she wrote her books calling Democrats traitors? Same for Hannity, right?

I don't recall the liberal media defending Clinton
Does anyone have tapes of what these same doofuses were saying about Whitewater? Did any of them say there was nothing new there? Did any of them accuse Republicans of a smear campaign? Were any cable reporters even a little bit skeptical about any of the accusations against Clinton?

Am I too old and senile to remember how CNN and Faux News came to Clinton's defense about serious Impeachment issues like Filegate and Travelgate?

It's Leninism...
...only eighty years too late.

Any action that promotes the vanguard role of the Party represents the highest form of service to the State.

Over on MSNBC
they keep on showing an irate David Gregory ready to put his foot in Scott McClellan's ass.

Watch the spin stop when Fitzgerald levies his indictment on conspiracy charges on Friday. Bye bye Rove, bye bye Libby, bye bye Bush.

Here is an idea
simply say "the american people can't trust the republican leadership." frame the rove issue, the delay issue, the ohio issue, the other issues as american people can not afford to trust the republican leadership. hammer away at this for the next year. nothing else but this. don't allow our side to become side tracked

CNN Sold out Long Ago
I'm not at all surpised...are you?

Re: CNN Sold out Long Ago
you shouldn't waste your money on cable.
just turn it off. you get an HD broadcast
over the air with your public channel,
it will keep you into some cool full-on
HD broadcast current fix.

And then you can collect. I have over 1,300
films in my collection. not only is it
more fun to watch them and keep them around
but you can also sell them back and trade them.

watching cable TV is bad business.

Attached is an email I wrote to Gibson today.
To: MyWord@Foxnews.com

Gibson,

Your remark today that Rove should get a medal for outting the identity of a CIA agent was nothing short of treason. You are a TERRORIST, plain and simple.

Hey, doesn't Al Qaeda give medals to people
who locate American CIA ?

I think they make videos of them too.

I wonder what Farenheit 911 1/2 will look
like now..

Double Treason w/ Obstruction of Justice
  1. Made name of covert agent public

  2. Did it in an attempt to discredit someone who had information that facts supporting the push for war were false. In other words, Rove sought to discredit someone who was trying to get the truth out to the American people.

  3. Then lied about it.

Medal
Does he mean like George Tenet's Presidential Medal of Freedom?  That award is about as meaningful now as a stubborn I Love Billy Bob tattoo.

FOIA disclosure needed here
Obviously these "journalists" are on someone else's payroll other than CNN.
by Parker 2005-07-13 12:25AM | 0 recs
No, this was completely expected
Heres how this whole thing went down
in TB's book.

Rove decided to just point blank state
to the media contacts that his buying
is on the line if they don't help out.

The editors then got together and decided
on a new headline.

The ripple effect of headlining is vast -
in this case you now have two major
propaganda items.

first, that Karl Rove is doing anything
else other than committing treason.

second, that he did not have "relations"
with that woman.

Now as for the first, you have complicity
with the democratic party. they are helping
this along by not stating that Rove
should be held accountable for an
act of TREASON.

The gentle "rove should be fired" sounds
like rain man mumbling to himself.

as for the second, Rove is starting that
little ball rolling and its gaining
a head of steam but just like clinton,
its not a good one. Rove is guilty
of TREASON.

Folks, if you want to go partisan
You will definitely go dead on this
issue. I swear as the lord above can
hear me that this is an issue
of national security as alive as
an Al Qaeda sleeper cell with four
ticking timebomb suitcases in your
subway station.

Please hear me out: we have to counter
this by rallying around our president.

That is the only way to defeat the propaganda.
Lets look at this as if it were a chess
game.

The president, even if you disagree
with him, is the king. ROVE would
be an enemy queen in our last rank
and file.

With the king gone, the game is gone. No matter
what the king says its the effect of
Grimer Wormtongue and his ilk
upon the throne.

We need someone to stand up for the
president here, a high profile defense
of our country and on the war on
terror.

the national focus needs to understand that
sleeper cells are fought ONLY by covert
means. losing one good covert operative
is like losing 10,000 grunts on the battlefield.
