The Pittsburgh and Philly media are already pretty tough on Santorum. If you saw him snapping at reporters over his family's unwillingness to live in PA, you'd see things were pretty mean given the primaries are over a year away.
Plus, you don't want this story to peak before DeLay's does. You want it to peak just after DeLay (sometime in 2006), so Dems can run on a broad platform attacking the GOP for its dry-rot while in power.

There is also a $1,000 per year, per person exemption for hosting fundraisers in your own home. If the event was held in a private residence the owners (husband & wife) could each spend $1,000 without having to report anything. This could also be a reason nothing is showing up.
The aircraft issue is one where the timetable falls in favor of the point being made in this post. Payment on use of private planes must be made within 7 days of the travel beginning. That would fall within March and would have to appear on the reports dur tomorrow.
I was not thinking about the dates right. Never mind on the "7 Day" jet rule, I just went back to the top and saw the funds were raised in the last days of the month.
