It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Fitzmas...

It is now officially Fitzmas Eve:An uber-insider source has just reported the following to TWN:
  • 1. 1-5 indictments are being issued. The source feels that it will be towards the higher end.

  • 2. The targets of indictment have already received their letters.

  • 3. The indictments will be sealed indictments and "filed" tomorrow.

  • 4. A press conference is being scheduled for Thursday.
The shoe is dropping. I have generally refrained from speculating on what would actually happen when Fitzmas came, but now that we are on the brink... well, I still have no idea. My bet is that Rove and Libby are both going to be indicted. The way McClellan threw them under the bus today makes that seem likely.

Use this thread speculate, rejoice, cancel plans for tomorrow, etc.

Odds Are...
Odds are this is going to be the Fitzmas I get coal in my stocking.

It's all to good to be true.  Daddy spent to much, and the repo man is coming to take it away at any minute.

An Early Christmas Present (or two)?
One could only hope that both Rove and Libby get taken down, but if it's only going to be one, my vote goes to Rove.

Chris, since it's on the front page...
...can you substitute that McClellan "threw" them under the bus instead of "through" them?

Thanks.

can't cancel plans
but my client will be happy to hear this.

Thanks for making my day.

:)

Now I suggest we blanket the local blogs in each state of the UpWithTorture9 crew.  And start working down into their GOP base and Big Business strings.

Cheney
Rumor on Yahoo news today was that Libby got the info from Cheney.  If that is true, then Cheney will be indicted as well.  OOH... we can only hope.  Unfortunately, Cheney will throw himself on the sword to protect W... but as long as it allows us to take over in 2006, we can then impeach Bush for the lies he told to bring us into Iraq.

Re: Cheney
We won't be able to impeach Bush, regardless, I don't think.  However we can make his life, political and otherwise, absolute hell and I'm all for it.  Cf., Sherman marching from Atlanta to the sea.  Or the Destruction of Army Group Center in 1944.

Re: Cheney
Impeach and remove are two different things.  I think bringing him up on articles of impeachment would not be that hard.  Getting a conviction is another story.  But at this point, anything to further rub salt in his wounds and tarnish the legacy is ok with me.

with apologies to Frank Sinatra
It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Everywhere you go
Take a look in the Times and the Post, Indictments brewing
Progressive activists all aglow

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Bush's polls have hit the floor
But the prettiest sight to see
Is the Cheney that will be
Behind a prison door

Handcuffs and chains
Scooter Libby is down the drain
Is the wish of every one

Bush advisers will talk
And they'll go for a perp walk
To watch it will be such fun

All the people can hardly wait
for long prison sentences to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Everywhere you go
There's presents from the Grand Jury
One for Karl Rove as well
The sturdy kind that hold up in court.

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Soon the prison doors will shut
And the thing that will make them ring
Is the hearty laughs you bring
Forth right within your gut.

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Bush's polls have hit the floor
But the prettiest sight to see
Is the Cheney that will be
Behind a prison door

Sure it's Fitzmas once more.

The Bare Minimum
Would be to cauterize the would. Three branches of government , this one is getting infected from having been untreated for so long. Not only did america suffer from losing a secret soldier in the war on Al Qaeda - but we also lost - count them - 100 top secret classified documents, sent to the phillipines, from the same office not more than one month ago. Quiet newsday, maybe you would've heard about it..

I think its important to realize the weight and gravity of this situation. This is the place, that, for better or worse, has the button to start nuclear  armageddon and if its for sale to the highest bidder - as was, in the case of Dick , at least the energy policy (even mccain called it pork) bill, the war in iraq (there was a map drawn up by friends of karl rove before it ever started - divvying up the oil), no bid contracts in new orleans and for all we know - ENRON.  Think for a second. Suppose there weren't bloggers like myself that spent all their time reading the fine print on those SEC filings.. what would've happened by now? After all, Time Warner wrote down more special purpose entity write-offs than Enron ever did... it could've happened if it weren't for the fact, I think, that Enron was shutting off power in some places to drive the power costs up.... Even though right now, as we speak, the oil companies shut off capacity a few years ago, to 50 oil refineries to drive up the cost of gas.... oh yes don't complain about katrina hitting the one operating refinery - they've been doing this for years...

What if..? It staggers the mind. Rove is the ultimate hand in making it all appear as if its normal government - Cheney must have been involved.

All I know is, that at the end of the day, if Fitz gerald does the same thing to the bad guys here that he did to the MOB we'd have the benefit of being able to cauterize a wound so infected it might even be rotting.

How much does the Dpt. of Justice leak? Is there anyone who knows what is going on beforehand? Are they talking.

Yes. They are. to ADVERTISERS.
