Are updates cumulative?
When we see a 4om exit poll, is that the results from poll opening until 4pm or from the last exit results (say noon-ish) until 4pm?

I ask because the Kerry leads are smaller at 4pm than earlier and worry that Democrats all voted early due to pent up anger with Bush.  But, maybe D's are voting in two waves, early and late.  Or maybe I'm just trying to hard to find meaning in meaningless exit polls...

Re: Are updates cumulative?
This is Slate poll.

FL number is the same as their first one.

their last OH number show Kerry only lead by 1 or 2 points, I cannot remember.

Great day for Kerry!

Re: Are updates cumulative?
From what I hear, dems traditionally tend to vote in the afternoon -- after work. That is one reason why the early polls favoring Kerry were somewhat surprising. Bush did way better than Gore last time in the early exit polls (according to Kos). Sp, you may be right -- we may see another democratic push of voters in the late afternoon.

Why MI is so close?
I thought Kerry had a 10 points lead there.

Up 16 in PA and 17 in NH?
Hard to believe.  Looks good overall, but I'm not putting too much stock in it.

The link does not show this.
It shows an earlier exit poll at Slate.

But I'll take your word for it if you saw it with your own two eyes.

Anybody know where the Bush zealots are blogging?
I'm extremely heartened by what I'm reading here, but I would love to look at what spin the other side is spouting.  It's best to know one's opponent!  Does anybody have a link to a site on the other side that is similar to mydd.com?  I'd like to see what they have to say about the Slate #s and other stuff.
